Equipped with a HIPE Pro and a Ypra-S S front wing, Tiare was amazed by the low end of his new Droid UPE Aramid.

Conditions of the session

“Droid UPE Aramid in 4.5m2, spot Le Dossen, gusty wind from southeast sector blowing at 14/28 knots. Soft waves, 1m max, stormy.”

Low end and jumps

“I’m amazed by the low end range of this wing: it took off as early as my buddies with 5m2 wing during this session, despite my small Ypra-S S 600cm2 front wing and Veloce 175 cm2 stab. In the gusts of the storm, the Droid did not deform and allowed me to send big jumps on the bumps (pop potentiated by the small front wing).”

Comfort of the Boom

“In soft waves the boom makes it easier to jibe out of the wave. The power of the wing makes the session safer. I suffered less falls due to lulls. And took off easier. So I had less moments of solitude when the set wave is about to hit you, and you wonder if the gust will get you going before the next wave.”

“In short, this Droid 4.5 UPE Aramid is faithful to its designed program: Surf/Freestyle without hesitation; a very positive development on all points compared to previous models.”
