FEEDBACK: CURVE XL-H

The Curve XL-H combines essential qualities for surf foiling and winging according to Marc, who shares his experience on the GONG Galaxy page.

Agility, glide, and lift
“I’m a rider weighing 95 kg and I’ve been able to test it in various wing and surf foil conditions. It works really well for my size. For me, this wing is the perfect blend of the agility of a Fluid, the glide of a Fluid-H and the lift of a Sirus. For downwinders, it performs very well even though it has less glide than the Fluid, it quickly gains a lot of front foot pressure.”
Winging in 8 knots
“In winging, it’s great in all types of wind. I’ve been able to ride in 8 knots as well as in 30 without any issues; its lift gives it some limitations in waves. In this session, the day I took this photo, I had come out of the water to switch and go to size L. In light wind combined with a big stabilizer, it’s fantastic. I find the same stability and flying ability in nearly no wind, like I had with the Sirus, albeit it is not as straightforward (forgiving), especially in relaunches. However, I am able to fly in the same conditions, with more maneuverability, and above all, the ability to surf waves without getting ejected.”
Riding waves like never before
“In surfing, it’s super maneuverable and has excellent relaunch, it has a lot of lift which doesn’t allow surfing waves that are too powerful (personally with the Fluid XL-H I could take on anything). In pumping, it’s super easy and allows me to ride waves like never before. In short, an ideal wing for people weighing 85 to 100 kg with an ideal compromise of maneuverability, glide, and lift for west coast waves. Bravo and thank you to the GONG team.”
