The Cruzader Point is a revelation for Lalo, who is amazed at how easily he manages to take off in wind speeds not exceeding 10 knots.
The shape for light wind
"Once again, kudos to
GONG Galaxy for their speedy delivery despite the holiday weekend! I ordered the board on Friday night and received it this morning at 9:22 AM!! I was too eager to test it, the famous light wind board, the Cruzader Point. I couldn’t resist taking it out on the water at noon in barely any wind. I would never have gone out without this board to try, and I must admit I had doubts about my ability to get the whole setup flying."
Taking off in almost no wind
"The shape is simply stunning and the finish is top-notch! I got it in 6'6" XL, equipped it with an HM86, a Curve XXL-H, and the Stab Fluid 49. The board is easily accessible for someone weighing 90 kg. What’s crazy is the board's ability to generate speed by pumping with the wing and foil to get flying in less than 10 knots of wind with lulls... almost nothing at all."
The sensations in flight
"Once in the air, it glides easily thanks to the apparent wind... the lulls are easily managed by pumping, and if you unfortunately touch the water a bit, the board immediately takes off again because it doesn’t slow down during touches. It’s just fantastic. The board feels shorter than it is given the foil's position. I loved flying in such little wind, I was shouting for joy like a kid discovering planing in windsurfing... I’m 53 years old, it’s just too good!!"
The board for summer thermal winds
"For a first session, I was thrilled. I can imagine what it will be like with the Droid 6.5 UPE Aramid in the light summer thermal winds. This time, I was using a 6m Plus, and I’m waiting for the new wings. The only difficulty I encountered was jibing during lulls... because the wing kept coming back at me each time, but by pumping with my legs it worked. I need to work on jibes specific to light wind. If you’re still hesitating to buy a Cruzader, well, hesitate no more!!! It changes everything."
