FEEDBACK: CRUZADER FSP PRO 5’6

In order to widen the wind range of his quiver, Quentin added the glide of a Cruzader FSP Pro to complete his 40 L board. Here is the feedback he shared on our GONG Galaxy page.

Tested in 8/10 knots
“Feedback from a person who is not a GONG ambassador on the rigid Cruzader 5’6 80 L (the smallest one and very very narrow). This is to complete my 40 L board to wing foil in less than 14 knots. I weigh 63 kgs. I tested it in 8/10 knots with a 4.5 and 980 foil.”
It takes off at the slightest gust
“Well, in terms of longitudinal stability it’s really OK. On the other hand, the roll stability is as technical as my 40 L board, so I wouldn’t recommend it for non-sporty people. We have a tree-trunk under our feet . Standing up is fine as long as you have some air in the wing. Otherwise, I can’t stand up when it’s choppy . At the slightest gust, it takes off as expected. The magic happens, it glides on demand.”
Sure to have a good session
“In the air I was surprised by the fact that the narrowness didn’t bother me at all. Neither did the length of the board. You really feel like you have 20 liters less under your feet. And it’s very rigid. For maneuvering, no worries either. Special mention to the straps which are really great.
In short, I am won over by this board which I will use more than expected I think. If I have to hesitate between my two boards I will take the Cruzader, because I will be sure to have a good session.
It is just important to know that in the normal version, do not hesitate to take it with more than 20 or even 30 L over your weight. It suits me at my weight plus 15 but I come from a sinker board of 40 L, so it’s to put it into perspective.”
