FEEDBACK: CRUZADER FSP PRO 5’6

The range of use of the small sizes of the Cruzader FSP Pro is calling into question the quiver of many wing foilers.
This is the case for Tien who shares his first impressions in the following feedback.
The board glides and accelerates without pushing any water
“Feedback Cruzader 5’6.
Rider: 70 kg, confirmed level. Accustomed to wing foil with a Lethal 4’6 (65L). Front wings used : Curve XS-H, S-H, M-H. My initial idea when going for a Cruzader was to sail upwind, do a deflate, and do a downwind paddling in a straight line. After ten sessions, here’s what I can say: When stationary, great pitch stability. In roll it is manageable by leaning on the wing but you don’t want to be holding the position on your knees for too long… Once upright, and from the first pumping strokes the board glides and accelerates without pushing any water, it’s really stunning! I have the impression that by slightly shifting my weight onto the back foot when pumping, the foil rises very early while accelerating.”
Super easy to handle
“In the light winds, getting on the foil happens so fast. With the Sirus L I was able to take off in 5/6 knots but without managing to maintain flight though. That day I also tested a Sirus L with a HIPE Pro 4’6. Impossible for me to get the board to accelerate.
For information :
On a Curve M-H, 8/10 knots are enough for me to take off. On a Curve S-H, 12/13 knots and the speed starts to feel really nice. On my first sessions I was really amazed by its “agility”, the board is super easy to handle, you also have the feeling of constantly being full tilt! The first switch of feet was kind of sketchy, but you quickly got used to it. The tacks and jibes were so easy that I immediately wondered how it would be like in wave riding.”
I never had any problems taking off
“Today, I sailed in 20 to 28 knots with a 2m swell. When off foil, on a choppy body of water, it’s a bit challenging but as always, you get used to it. A friend was on a Lethal 4’6 and Curve S-H, 3m wing and I was with my Cruz, Curve XS-H and also with a 3m. I never had any problems taking off, while he exhausted himself trying to get on the foil. In the surfs I find this very agile side of the board that amazed me in my first session, the volume and length at the nose are clearly not felt, a real treat!”
Les plus et les moins
“For my 70 kg, the Cruzader 5’6 can certainly be my all-purpose everyday board (I don’t do any Freestyle)
The +:
- Ultra early take off.
- Incredible glide.
- I can easily go down a foil size while still planning even earlier while maintaining better maneuverability than with a larger foil.
- A truly agile board in maneuvers and surfs, you really have to try it to believe it!
The – :
- I think I’m going to part with my Lethal 4’6 because I can sail a Cruzader in all types of conditions without feeling “too much volume”.
- Little bonus, I managed to prone foil with it and take off on waves that didn’t even break’.
I hope you enjoyed the read and the footage.”
