FEEDBACK: CRUZADER DIAMOND HOLLOW FULL CARBON 2027
Lou shares his first impressions of the Cruzader Diamond Hollow Full Carbon, from picking it up to riding it on the water.
Rider: Bastien Escofet, GONG Team rider, on a Cruzader Diamond Hollow Full Carbon with a Neutra Light V3 lowkite.
A surprise from the moment you pick it up
“A little feedback on the new Cruzader Diamond Hollow in 5’8, 79 liters! The first thing that blows you away is when you unpack it and pick it up: it’s a feather. You know it’s going to be light, but honestly, not this light. At that point, all you want to do is get on the water and try it.”
Light weight in action
“I’ve had two sessions on it, parawinging and wing foiling, on flat water in around 15 knots. And on the water, it’s just as crazy. It gets up on foil super early, almost effortlessly. But what struck me most was the responsiveness. You have this incredibly direct connection to the foil; you really feel at one with it. It’s super stiff, super light, and feels like a small board underfoot.
I usually ride a standard Cruzader Diamond in 5’6, 71 liters. So the 5’8 should be a little too big for me, but it actually feels much smaller than my usual board. It feels amazing.”
A total connection to the foil
“It reminds me of the connection I get to the foil when pumping on a dock-start board, or when I grab a wing and go wing foiling on a Strada or a Kluber 80. You get that same direct connection, except you’ve got almost 80 liters under your feet! Honestly, between the weight, stiffness, and responsiveness, it’s just crazy.”
Thanks for the feedback, Lou!
