FEEDBACK: CRUZADER 7’0 XL

The conclusion of Stéphane’s feedback on his new Cruzader 7’0 XL testifies to an essential point in wing foiling: the trouble of taking off in very light winds is not inevitable, far from it 🙂

“Here’s a feedback on the Cruzader 7’0 XL tested today in variable winds of 8 to 16 knots. I weigh 75 kg and I’m currently working on my jibes. I was sailing with a wing of 5m2 and a Curve XL today.
With another board, I would have wondered about the size of the wing to take and there, no need to worry. To my surprise, I realized that the length of the board gives sufficient stability to go from kneeling to standing.
I’m generally not flying after my maneuvers, in general I’m still standing though. With the Mint 2023 in 5’2 I would have had a hard time getting going again in those light conditions but with the Cruzader it gets going on its own. In a cross wind it picks up speed and off we go again until the next jibe attempt. The length brings forgiveness on touchdowns.
In the end, much less fatigue because I don’t have to pump to take off. This meant I had a big wide smile on my face at the end of the session!“
