FEEDBACK: COUINE MARIE CRUISING

To be on the water all season long, David paddles on inland spots near his home with his inflatable Couine Marie Cruising SUP. Here is his feedback.

Cruising program
“I went for the Couine Marie Cruising in size 11’6 for long distance cruising and to keep in shape during the winter. The goal being to go SUPing at home when it’s too cold to go surfing, I favored the stability of the Cruising to stay dry over the performance shape of the Race edition. And this is really what I got, a super stable board. From the dock where I usually start from, I’m super comfy on the board and stay warm and dry on the deck. I think I could bring someone along and still feel comfortable.”
Average speed
“This fairly long shape carries really well and develops the much needed inertia for long distances. It allows me to maintain a very respectable average speed. Which is great to explore up and down the river nearby. On this model there are adjustable elastics in front of the pad to carry a backpack. Convenient not to have to put it on your back. Be careful, however, it will get wet with the splashes of the paddle. A waterproof bag is highly recommended…”
The equipment
“The whole thing is sound and seems to be high quality, right down to the large carrying bag where the board can be stored very easily. There are wheels to pull the bag over long distances. I took the board as a pack on the website with a removable carbon paddle. It is super light and dynamic. Long story short, I’m really happy with it so far.”
