FEEDBACK : 7'11 Pie EPS !!!

Here’s a little feedback on the 7’11 EPS Pie that I recently bought. This Board caught my eye since it had come out but I had other projects/desires going on, I pushed off buying it for a while. But now I got it, finally, in my garage and I’ve gone to surf her a couple times these last few weeks.
For Info, I’m 42 yrs old, I’m 1,68m and weigh 76kg. I’ve been surfing for about 25yrs several times a week.
I took the Pie in the biggest size possible on purpose, because the more I advance in my surfing the more I appreciate bigger Boards, for I have a penchant for cruisers, gliders and the glide they give.
Even if I have somewhat left my Short-order past behind, I still appreciate Boards that turn, that accurate when it gets steep.
And with the 7’11 Pie, well it’s party time!! The natural speed of the Board is incredibly surprising.
It’s clearly what has marked me the most. And if you know how the master foot placement, you break the sound barrier ! In the turns , she’s as alive as it gets, very smooth, straightforward feeling. The rail to rail is super fluid, with no speed loss. Having tried it in several different conditions, she is much more versatile than i thought, which was obviously a good surprise.
Paddling and the take off are obviously easy, but that is to be judged on a personal basis taking into consideration the boards someone is used to surfing.
I personally found that the Pie takes off less easy than the Acidolly 8’0, a ‘small’ Board, that I also have. But it is fully compensated by the gain in speed and manoeuvrability I get from the Pie.
In conclusion, the 7’11 corresponds exactly to what I was looking for, namely a lively, fast and agile Board that offers nothing less than an excellent glide.
