Bought to begin in Downwind, in size 14″ (after several attempts on 23” and 25” width boards, I ended up spending as much time in the water as on the boards …) , and now, an epiphany, this board is amazing for this program! This board has an extreme stability for a surfing type board, even in choppy conditions in 25/30 knots. I can finally focus on the bumps and surf without falling ;). You can easily move forward and backward on the board, once you understand how it reacts it’s perfect, it really surfs, we can let it live in the bumps. Overall, it doesn’t plow, and even if it does, a step back and it goes back up so no more jumping over the board. The result for a beginner in downwind, a big smile on the face, we can take a lot of bumps without worrying about falling. Pleasure, joy and thrill guaranteed, I love it ! In cruising mode, obviously we feel its heaviness while lifting or doing maneuvers on the water, don’t expect to be the fastest. However, it glides really well. In lateral choppy conditions, there is a huge stability without any wind load because there is a low volume. Cruising mode or racing mode of approximately 2h, it goes through. I lend it to few beginners a well as intermediate level who have love the stability/glide/confort ratio. Finally, I found it really pretty and well-finished.
