Your first hour on a wing

Pull off jibes and tacks in your first hours riding a wing!

Whatever your experience in watersports, mastering the wing does not happen overnight. The beginnings can be difficult, even frustrating. You have to approach this sport with humility and go through all the stages without rushing. The progress will only be better. This is particularly the case for your first transition maneuvers, the jibe and the tack.

It’s not necessary to master the phases of flight to stick your maneuvers without getting wet. With a stable board and a good handling of the wing, you can do them riding flat on the water, without the pressure of having to fly and therefore having to maintain a minimum of speed. You can do them either kneeling or standing if the stability of your board allows it. If the wind drops, flat maneuvers will also come in handy.
