An Artisanal Hand shaped Board. Tinted Resin and glossy hand polished finish make this Board an object of desire.
These Boards are shaped and decorated by L’Ours himself here at our Workshop in La Baule gives these Boards a distinguished’Made in La France’ labeling.
Function :
Surf with uncommon style by blending tasty carving, fearsome speed with big paddling comfort.
Introduction :
”L’enfant terrible” of the 70s is all grown up. A shape slightly more evolved than its predecessors but still fully committed.
La Carter was taken from a pure 70s shape, remastered by l’Ours to conform to todays modern surfing. Style, but also real performance with an unhindered glide and super clean carving.
Smooth, floaty while paddling, but ready to be radicalized if you desire, this model is supersonic.
Drop in from far out because she’s easy to paddle, rocketing through the section is natural with her pin tail + wingers.
The board for those who adore the glide and laying down magical turns.
Ideal Waves :
- Size : knee high ++ head high and over.
- Strength : at her best in all types of waves.
- Type : all conditions, but most at home in glassy.
Stability :
- Less than 75 kg : easy.
- 75 kg to 95 kg : easy with a good skill.
- More than 95 kg : perfect if you got skills.
- Skill minimum : intermediate surfer.
GLOBAL
- Rocker : very progressive for the most natural carving.
- Rails : ultra thin and streamlined focused on carving.
- Volume : placed 2/3 in front, generous but without excess for early take offs and mad performance.
- Outline : pinched tail for optimum control, an advanced wide point for stability at higher speeds, and a nose suufficiently thick for dropping in from far out.
- Tail : pin tail + wingers to blend speed and maneuverability
- Nose : point nose for quick paddling and handling wave face.
- Deck : domed to maintain thinner rails and some thickness in the middle.
- Bottom : double concave at tail for maximum control. V’d at center for quick rail to rail, and bellied/convex nose for soft touch at high speeds.
