SUP NFA FSP Pro

Program
This modern long SUP blends the best of shortboard, longboard, and retro styles. And with its effortless ride, you won’t think twice about taking it for a casual cruise now and then.
Presentation
A pure modern longboard, shaped by a passionate longboarder, it can only make your mouth water ?
When paddling, the NFA is very stable while maintaining good speed. You are well balanced and you can concentrate on paddling. The best to get over the waves and catch them easily.
In surfing, you drop from the distance without forcing. Immediately and with a little pressure on the rail it engages in carves. Two crossed steps and you are on the nose for a ride on a flying carpet!
Its width at the nose makes it a real platform for sticking hang fives, hang tens and 360’s. For beginners this front width guarantees the much needed stability. We’re super comfortable, we can take a light passenger for a ride; it’s a board for relaxed rides.
But don’t imagine it to be too gentle, because as soon as you put its tail in action, it will be cut-back city, rollers and re-entries. Just step back and its diamond tail does the job.
Always comfortable, always smooth, always sharp, the NFA perfectly blends the high performance of a compact longboard with the accessibility of an NFA. A unique mix in a style that’s resolutely longboard.
The NFA has long been the best-selling SUP board in the world. We offer it in 8 sizes in FSP Pro : 8’0, 9’0 XS, 9’0, 9’0 XL, 10’0 XS, 10’0, 10’0 XL and 12’0 to satisfy all builds / levels. Our best selling lengths are declined in three different widths and thicknesses so that you can find the ideal board for your build and skill level.
Our SUPs are shaped by Patrice Guénolé, a true perfectionist and SUP pioneer, ensuring your boards always have a shape close to perfection. No need to add 20 extra liters for stability—the volume is perfectly balanced to give you just the right amount while keeping the board maneuverable.
The NFA is our best-selling SUP, excelling for everyone and in all types of waves.
OUTLINE
The advanced wide point provides more lift at the front, making it easier to move around on the board and extending your time on the nose.
It also helps lock the board into turns by engaging a long stretch of rail from the tail to the wide point. The result? A super stable board, even in fast waves—so you can push hard into turns, almost like on a shortboard.
NOSE
The NFA’s wide nose gives you a secure spot to lock in your toes with ease, backed by a deep concave that maximizes lift.
At the same time, its smooth, rounded outline adds forgiveness when carving off the bottom—angling the board naturally lifts the nose away from the water.
This rounded shape also helps you reposition effortlessly when nose riding. The board feels loose, letting you glide up or down the wave face with just a shift in pressure. Perfect for nailing those 360 Helicopters!
TAIL
The diamond tail is thin, allowing you to push your maneuvers to the limit. It provides slightly less lift than a square tail, offering more rail-to-rail control without overpowering your trajectory. You can really feel the board lighter underfoot.
ROCKER
This true longboard rocker is relatively pronounced, bringing smoothness and variety to your range of maneuvers. It allows for flowing turns rather than having to stall. The focus is on carving, not old-school nose lifting to cheat your way through turns.
The rocker naturally locks the board into its arc, so with just a little input, the NFA glides effortlessly through each turn.
HULL
The hull is particularly worked, in connection with all the other parameters.
A nice spoon on the nose to carry, lighten and stabilize.
The concave in the center of the board gives a lot of stability when paddling and accelerating in bottom turns.
The double concave in front of the side fins distributes water over these fins dedicated to acceleration and creates a central V as a rail to rail tilting point.
The tail features a deep V for sharper rail-to-rail responsiveness, unlocking smooth, flowing turns with an effortless, accelerating water release.
RAILS
The rails are very soft in front and clearly typed shortboard from the wide point. We are on a modern board that likes to surf with speed and liveliness.
The volume is delicately distributed with a dominant part just in front of the paddling feet to keep a fine tail and precisely distribute the volume where you need it. No worries about the thickness of the rails at this point as the domed deck plan erases the volume near the rails on this wide board.

Buying guide
For whom?
The 8’0 NFA
Perfect for lighter surfers and technical riders, this NFA is super versatile—without the extreme feel of a smaller Zero. It’s the ideal pick for those who want a compact, highly responsive board while keeping that classic longboard glide.
The 9’ et 10’ NFA
Beginner + to semi pro, the NFA is made for you: the queen of longboard versatility.
It will adapt to your needs, your desires and your conditions.
So this is the board for almost everyone.
The 12’ NFA
You need to love longer boards and what comes with them. Because a long board is one thing, a 12’ long board is another entirely !
When riding a 12’, there is a shift in the way things feel, and there is a good chance that this is exactly what you are looking for if you are considering this board. Long carves, wide moves, ultra early take off, high paddling, a very wide stage on the spot and on the board…
Lighter riders will find it absolutely massive.
Heavier riders will consider this board as the pillar of their quivers, with a good amount of revival.
For what?
The 8’0 NFA
It can do anything and it’s easy. No need to be world champion, or to have perfect waves: it works!
It’s the small longboard that will make you discover noserides without being technically demanding.
The 9’ et 10’ NFA
It can do anything and it’s easy. No need to be world champion, or to have perfect waves: it works!
It’s the longboard that will make you discover noserides without being technically demanding to drive.
The 12’ NFA
Longboard love long waves. They need room and a wide stage to really express themselves fully. The NFA 12’ is the very definition of this rule.
But since it takes off and glides on pretty much anything, it might actually be the best bang for the buck in the world of SUP.
12’ yes, but decisively modern. The NFA is not a board to laze around. On the contrary, its scissored shape puts it on par with many 9’ on the market. It is precise and thin at the tail, so it can be handled beautifully but will require force and some serious involvement.
Cruising is obviously a wonderful thing with the NFA 12’, because even though it is not hindered in any way when it comes to glide, you clearly did not come here to beat speed world records. So it will be stable, but super versatile, which you will love whenever the slightest wave makes an appearance.
Which size?
- The 8’0 is aimed at lighter riders, under 70kg, or more with a nice level.
- The 9’0 XS is aimed at lighter riders, also under 70kg. But a heavier skilled SUP rider will be able to get the most out of it.
- The 9’0 suits everybody. It’s the centerpiece of the range.
- The 9’0 XL is the reassuring version of the NFA 9′. Super stable, it ensures maximum enjoyment.
- The 10’0 displays all the qualities of the 9’0 with the amplitude of a 10′.
- In XS, the NFA 10’ performs amazingly. Fast, punchy, light in the air, it is amazing how maneuverable this board can be.
- In XL, the NFA 10′ is certainly one of the easiest boards. Ultra-stable, it doesn’t forget its modern Longboard program.
- The NFA 12’ is for those rare riders who love clean and beautiful lines, be it on a wave, a board or a carve… Like its cousin the Zero 12’, the NFA 12’ will make you crave for longer surfs. It is an endless enjoyment punctuated by moves getting very close to freestyling.
Which board bag?
Quiver mates?
The NFA goes with everything and is essential. It’s the Swiss Army Knife of the SUP.
This immense versatility will allow it to eat a lot of the territory of other boards, on the side of the cool ride, noserides, 360’s, small waves.
It is not a board that we will try to supplement because it could do almost everything by itself. It’s different feelings that we’re going to look for in other boards, mainly in different rhythms.
Its opposite would be an Alley or a Fatal. Hyper dynamic boards that you have to constantly push within their limits and yours.
A good idea for a quiver is NFA + Karmen. There we have two different rhythms but we have common points on versatility.
A little more ambitious would be NFA + Mob + Alley (or Fatal depending on the speed and cleanliness of the waves). A versatile longboard, a soft wave shortboard, and a fast shortboard.
It’s also the ideal girlfriend in the quiver of a surfer who wants a maneuverable SUP to supplement his surfboard collection with. Something that works in tiny micro waves and for cruising. They will find a lively SUP board without having to collect different SUPs to do everything.
Which fin set-up?
The best fin set-up is a matter of style:
1/ For everyone: a single 7’’ or 8’’ fin with small side fins : maximum maneuverability. We have a little less acceleration but the board fits perfectly in carves that go for. It is magic.
2/ For the Pros: a single 6’’ fin with a lot of surface (like a trifin that would be bigger) combined with small side fins of the size that would be used for a trifin set-up. For example, a 6” GONG and two Toledo M side fins if your usual trifin is in L. With this set-up you will have a snappy board, on which you can push without limits in carves. It will be safe and radical at the same time.
The 2 + 1 trifin of identical lengths is a good basis, especially on the 9’. Front of the center fin 4cm behind the tips of the side fins. A 2 + 1 Performer set is perfect. Take your recommended fin size or just above. Not less. You’re going to need some grip to use it.
Reminder of the FCS2 fin sizes recommended in trifin (three fins of identical size):
- XS for less than 55 kg / 120 Lbs
- S for 55 kg – 70 kg / 120 Lbs – 155 Lbs
- M for 65 kg – 80 kg / 145 Lbs – 175 Lbs
- L for 75 kg – 90 kg / 165 Lbs – 200 Lbs
- XL for those over 85 kg / 190 Lbs
Note that before the shape, it is the material of the fins that makes the performance. Remember that the stiffer the fins, the better it works. Yes, a pro needs good fins, but an amateur also needs to go fast because speed is the basis of all maneuvers.
Never take shorter, unless you’re as light and precise as a cat.
A surfer who wants more speed, more beautiful carves, cleaner surfing, working on his speed gain, will take one size above the recommended size. Be careful because more surface on a large board gives a rather amorphous whole. Don’t go too big if you want to keep mobility.
In a setup that mixes sets, consider that the total surface area of your fins should always be the same. If you lengthen the center fin, you have to reduce the side fins. These provide grip and acceleration; and the center fin does the pivot and the drive.
The solution 1 is the most versatile on the 9″ and 10″ NFAs. To optimize it, you can put 100mm side fins and mount a 7’’ or 8’’ Pivot, Clique, or Connect central fin.
Here is a reminder of the behaviour on 2+1 fin associations:
- Side fins of 100mm + Center of 6″: not enough drive, it’ll skid out alot.
- Side fins of 100mm + Center of 7: ideal for a maximum of handling and freedom in the turns.
- Side fins of 100mm + Center of 8: perfect management of the turns and good noserides.
- Side fins of 100mm + Center of 9 : a lot of drive, probably too much.
- Side fins of 100mm + Center of 10″: it’s too much unless you weigh 120 kg.
In 2 + 1, the front of the base of the central fin will be set 2cm behind the rear tip of the side fins. The setting offers the best handling. For more control, simply move the center fin 2cm by 2cm or take a center fin one inch deeper.
A single fin set-up is possible on the NFA, but it will calm the board and cause it to lose acceleration when pushing in the legs. It’s nice with the 12’, but below it’s questionable. Everyone will see according to their desires. No less than 9″ in any case as a single fin. And in a rather modern shape to keep up with the tempo of the board.
What paddle length?
Your size, no more and no less, ideally a Pro version for a lighter paddle. You can make it a little shorter if you’re aiming towards a radical ride. Some people cut it to eyebrow height for shortboards. We don’t recommend this for the NFA, and we even suggest going up a size on longer boards for a smoother, more relaxed rhythm.
Which leash?
Take the length of your board and a 10’ for the 12’. Under shoulder high waves, reduced diameter (6mm) will make you gain a lot of speed. Above you must have a minimum of 7mm.
Check its condition before each session and change it every year. This is your life jacket.
Equipments
The NFA FSP Pro features a high-end 5mm deck pad that delivers top-tier grip and unmatched comfort.
At the back, the 3D Function Tail Pad provides a smart, responsive feel with strategically placed grooves and cutouts that enhance foot awareness—keeping you locked in and dialed into every movement.
Up front, the Front Pad Ridge Traction ensures perfect grip and surgical precision while maintaining plush cushioning.
This multi-zone deck pad gives the new NFA a perfectly balanced connection—precise, comfortable, and fully under control.
The ergonomic carrying handle on the deck makes it easy to maneuver the board out of the water. It also allows you to carry it one-handed—super practical!
It also houses the vent screw, keeping it protected and eliminating the need for extra reinforcements that would add unnecessary weight. Smart, durable, and lightweight.
The vent screw is automatic. Its membrane lets air circulate between the board’s core and the outside while keeping water out, effortlessly managing pressure changes. This smart system boosts durability with zero upkeep. That said, always keep your board out of direct sunlight and remove the valve when flying.
Our boards feature an adjustable US box and two FCS 2 boxes. Thanks to our thick sandwich construction, the fin anchoring is rock solid—offering top-tier performance and durability.
These are the gold standard of fin boxes, giving you the freedom to ride in 2+1 or trifin setups and explore a nearly limitless range of high-end fin options to match your style.
The leash plug is indestructible as it is glued into the high density PVC sandwich of the deck. The guarantee of not losing your board in the rocks for example, nor of seeing water seep through the plug because the PVC is waterproof.
To sum up, the NFA comes with:
1 central US 7″/180mm fin and 2 FCS II Glass Flex S/100mm side fins for a 2+1 set-up.
Exception for the NFA 12′: 1 US 9″/230mm central fin and 2 FCSII Carver Glass Flex S/100mm side fins for a 2 + 1 set-up.
1 US central box et 2 FCS II side fins boxes high resistance reinforced with high density PVC for 2+1 set-up.
5 mm pad: deck covering designed for great comfort and absolute grip.
Integrated central carry handle on the board deck.
Leash plug Concrete fixed at tail to never lose your board.
