Presentation
The Cruzaders are our highest performing SUP foil & WING Foil crossover boards.
The custom boards created in our workshop are true objects of art. We put all our know-how into the design of these exceptional objects, both noble and high-performance, for a unique sliding experience.
The FSP PRO CUSTOM construction provides rigidity in all conditions. It differs from standard boards with its exceptional biaxial carbon.
Whether you are on a Wing or a SUP foil, they offer you a complete experience and extreme performance. Downwind, lightwind, waveriding, freerace, flat start, and even surf foil downwind or on a tiny wave. It doesn’t matter if you have a paddle, a wing or just your arms, the Cruzader range allows you to discover a new way to glide before taking off and flying endlessly.
In Wing it’s simply stunning. This is the world record for early takeoff. 6 knots are enough, and even less for the pros. Obviously it’s an ultra-specific use, but what a treat!!!!!! Flying effortlessly in a few knots of wind to create enough apparent wind to feel the wing pull like in 12 knots: it’s great.
With a giant foil, in 6 knots, you pump a few strokes, and the Cruzader takes off to put the foil into action. Nothing can stop you ! The feeling of silence is astonishing. We sail relatively quickly, in almost nothing. We walk around, we work on the maneuvers, and if there is ever a swell or bumps: it’s a festival. Imagine yourself freeflying on an almost smooth body of water. Absolute madness.
With a small foil, 800 to 1000cm2, you will take off 2 to 6 knots earlier than usual, depending on your pumping technique. In 8 knots you will be able to fly your little front wing, and there… the speed is phenomenal. The glassy body of water unfolds under the board. A rocket when almost no one flies.
And in more wind? The Cruzader will make flying effortless. It’s the anti-frustration. We slide better than with any board. No more pulling out to pump. On the contrary, you slide, pump a little and it flies easily. And if the wind drops in the middle of a ride, you are almost certain to fly again. And if it falls completely, we have the length to return at 3 or 4 knots quietly with the wing. Super easy and really reassuring, the Cruzader is not just an extreme board.
Its dimensions can be scary, but the length makes everything easier. And note that this is a board that we will use in very simple conditions, with little chop and wind. So its finesse is just a plus.
In downwind, she is in her element, chaining bump after bump, optimizing trajectories to accelerate non-stop. Its generous tail and the extra long centered boxes greatly facilitate starting. With its nose bulb you have the stability you need to press firmly in front and row like a lumberjack. It is of record efficiency.
In surfing, small sizes start earlier than any board with an effortless paddle for a ride that’s as cool as it is majestic. So imagine the large sizes with their glide: fantastic. A pair of paddles and no need for the paddle or the necessary balance ?
Its tail, directly inspired by the magic tail of the Lethal, produces almost no drag before flight. Worked on two lines, it offers the best take-off potential. The outline line sees the edge rise suddenly after the boxes to allow this long tail to be lifted. And in the center the line is extended by a monumental V which releases the water perfectly. Acceleration before flight is extremely effective. And that’s a considerable difference because you don’t have to row or exhaust yourself pumping.
The rails have been reworked with more verticality and sharper edges to improve stability on this toothpick board but also on gliding and takeoff. You quickly find your balance with a large foil. The board does not ride on water.
Its nose bulb allows you to carry volume while keeping a flat deck under your feet. The assurance of starting early and being able to push hard with the oar in bumps while maintaining full speed control.
This relatively thin nose keeps a little surface area so as not to struggle with balance or be forced to take a board that is too long. The tail is also a little more generous to take advantage of bumps at start-up and maintain a decent balance in choppy conditions.

Warning
When you practice foil you expose yourself to possible serious risks. A poor mastering of a foil can expose you to cuts and/or serious bodily harm, even death for yourself and possibly others around you.
Foiling should be practiced, in all circumstances, by taking precautions and taking into consideration all that is involved and associated with surf/SUP sports. Remember that a foil is long and has an edge that could cause slicing and is capable of reaching very high speeds. Getting hit by a foil, or hitting another, can have dramatic and highly unwanted consequences.
Always foil far from others, and in waters that are secure and without obstacle.
Always wear a helmet andprotective vest that assures floatability. Always wear a full body neoprene wetsuit.
When handling and manipulating a foil be careful not to cut yourself along its edges.
GONG does not accept and declines any and all responsibility in case of accident that implicates a GONG foil. The practicing of this sport and the use of our equipment makes the user fully responsable for his/her actions while being a foil user.
