The kitefoil is much more than a simple extension of the kite. It's the unique sensation of rising above the water, gliding along in almost unreal silence, carried by the finesse of a foil skimming the surface.

At GONG, our passion for kitefoiling is not new. We were among the first to believe in this practice when the majority of riders were still ignorant of this new world.

From the beginning of foiling applied to kites, we have explored shapes, materials, and assemblies in order to invent solutions that are both efficient and accessible.

Our know-how, from decades of development in surfing, kitesurfing, SUP, and windsurfing, has allowed us to design foils designed for each stage: from the rider discovering foiling to the pro looking for ultimate performance.

This accumulated experience, this artisanal then industrial approach, this desire to innovate, are written into our DNA.

Over the years, GONG has grown, relying on the passion and trust of its customers and its own creativity.

Our pioneering vision has always been to make kitefoil accessible to everyone. Very early on, we offered a foil at €300 when the market was selling for between €1,500 and €2,200.

This boldness has shaken up the codes, allowing hundreds, then thousands of riders to discover kitefoil.

We now have considerable resources to offer a complete range, covering all practices, all levels, all conditions, with a perfect balance between equipment for beginners, progress, and performance.

As with kitesurfing, GONG refuses the logic of exorbitant prices.

Thanks to our direct sales model, without intermediaries, we offer foils, boards and kites at exceptionally low prices, while maintaining a high level of quality.

This is not low-cost, it is a new relationship with you, the user, where each euro invested goes into the quality of the product, not into multiplying margins.

Result: high-end, reliable, high-performance equipment, but now affordable, allowing everyone to enjoy the joys of kitefoiling without breaking the bank, and thus participate in the growth of this sport by joining the kitefoiling community.

GONG never pretends. Our requirements are the same for a foil designed for a beginner and one designed for a freestyle or race pro.

We know that a beginner's foil needs to be extremely stable, reassuring and easy to handle, to make learning a breeze.

We also know that an expert foil needs to be lively, precise, responsive and durable, so that it can be used for one session after another; it also needs to be able to float in big air, boost freestyle, or track in a race.

• Kites dedicated to foiling: Light and responsive wings, capable of creating lift in a breath of air, optimized to navigate in light winds, like the legendary Strutless, its little sister Strutless Revo, and the Unik. But also the other kites in the range for various programs in established wind
  
• Foil boards: A little volume to start, more pointed shapes for the confirmed, ultra light and thin boards for experts. Everyone will find the board corresponding to their level and their objectives in technologies that only GONG masters and offers to date like the HDCC.

Kitefoil, like kitesurfing, is available in a multitude of disciplines that can be segmented as follows:

• Beginner: Learn to fly on a stable foil, navigate in light winds, feel confident in a new world.
  
• Freeride: Glide from 6/8 knots of wind, feel the finesse of the flight, play on the water with crazy angles, exploit each gust to cruise easily at 25 knots, stroll with friends, put in a few jumps, enjoy incredible freedom in very little wind.
  
• Freestyle: Work on moves, jumps, rotations, play with the third dimension that the foil brings to boost the pop, mix a repertoire from unhooked to kite loops.
  
• Waveriding: Combine the glide of the kite and the finesse of the foil to surf with a new perspective, increase the sensations tenfold, and optimize movements on the spot to catch everything.
  
• Big air: Looking for height, madness, maximizing the foil pop and the kite traction, pushing the limits, kitefoiling to the extreme.
  
• Race: Pure speed, heading, VMG, extreme performance, challenging the times and competitors, pushing the foil to its limits to go ever faster.

GONG is no longer the small, confidential workshop of the beginning, but we keep the same philosophy: combining expertise, innovation and accessibility.

Our founder, Patrice Guénolé, is himself a passionate rider, a demanding tester, on the water as often as possible. His experience is reflected in each foil, each board, each wing.

At GONG, our passion for nature guides each of our actions.

We were the first brand in the world to package our boards without plastic in 100% recyclable materials.

Our exemplary building, with very low energy consumption, reflects this commitment: beyond being a place dedicated to innovation and the presentation of our products, it is also a true tribute to biodiversity. Surrounded by the 400 trees that we have planted, a forest that we have protected, a pond created for more biodiversity, it is a refuge for local wildlife.

Our restaurant in this incredible place is eco-labeled. We only serve fresh products prepared on site.

These costly and demanding choices are part of our desire to minimize our environmental impact, by protecting forests, soils, animals as much as possible, and by creating a space where man and nature coexist harmoniously.

Sustainability at the heart of our product philosophy

This environmental approach goes hand in hand with a product philosophy focused on sustainability.

We design solid, repairable boards that have an average of five to seven different owners in their life.

Reducing waste, preventing equipment from ending up in landfill, extending the life of products: this is our credo.

We keep all the components of our products in stock, so that they can be repaired for as long as possible.

Our workshop repairs not only GONG products, but also those of other brands, in a spirit of mutual aid and respect for resources.
