TEAM NEWS: THE ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN FOR THE FREEFLY-SLALOM TITLE
The Wing Foil Tour heads to Brazil for the season finale in FreeFly-Slalom and Surf-Freestyle!
While the champions in the Surf-Freestyle category are already known, the world title is still fiercely contested in FreeFly-Slalom, with the top four separated by just a few points. Among this quartet are our team riders Francesco Cappuzzo, Julien Rattotti, and Bastien Escofet, who have delivered an outstanding season on the circuit, occupying the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions. Close behind them is Italy’s Zorzi, who will be eager to upset the balance.
The opening rounds are set to kick off today, with a livestream available on the GWA website.
Surf-Freestyle is expected to follow in the coming days, featuring a full roster of riders who won’t hold back with the title already decided. Taking the win in this event will be all that matters for the top guns. A spectacular competition is anticipated, given the exceptional level of the riders, bringing innovations to each event this year.
Among the favorites is, of course, our team rider Malo Guénolé. A finalist in the previous Surf-Freestyle event, Malo had to withdraw due to injury. However, he remains undefeated in Brazil since his 2022 victory that crowned him Surf-Freestyle World Champion—and he’s eager to keep it that way.
