TEAM NEWS: PIERRE GIRARDEAU ON THE PODIUM AT THE FRENCH SUP CHAMPIONSHIPS!
Our team rider once again places his Alley FSP Pro on the podium.
The 2024 vice-champion of France reached the final again this year in particularly challenging conditions for the competitors. On the beaches of Hossegor, Seignosse, and Capbreton, where France’s best surfers gathered, the contenders for the Stand-Up Paddle Open title had to deal with 20 knots of wind throughout their heats. Far from ideal conditions, but on the last day of a waiting period marked by storms, this was the last window to crown the 2025 French SUP Champion.

Another final for Pierre Girardeau
A regular on the French Championship podium for several years, our team rider naturally had his sights set on the top step this year. Well-prepared and perfectly in tune with gear he knows inside out, Pierre started strong, winning his first-round heat convincingly, allowing him to skip the always risky repechage round. A great start that carried him all the way to the final. He told us:
“We weren’t spoiled by the conditions throughout the comp. The first two days were canceled because of a storm with huge swell and awful wind. On Sunday, there were constant 20 knots. Not great, but it was that or nothing. I used my Alley 7’4 to stay stable by keeping it sunk in the water. I’m more stable on a sinker board in stormy conditions.
I surfed as best I could in those conditions, it was rough. I managed to get through the early rounds without too much trouble. In my semi-final, I scored two decent waves given the circumstances. First goal achieved: making the final.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the right waves to score big in the final. A bit disappointed coming out of the water, but still happy to finish on the podium. All in all a good way to wrap up the season. Can’t wait for the next one!” Pierre Girardeau
