The young brazilian rises with his Ayto Aramid DP on the Surf-Kite podium in Tarifa.

The iconic Andalusian spot is hosting the annual Youth Championship from September 1st to September 5th. On the first day of competition the young talents of the sport hit the water to determine the U-14, U-16 and U-19 champs in the Surf-Kite discipline. Among them, Pedro Alexandre, GONG team rider, made it all the way into the final in the U-16 division where he was facing Santiago Montero Basterra from Spain. This performance earns him a very promising Vice-Champion title. Here’s his reaction :

“I’m very happy to be back in Tarifa once again for the Youth World Championship. This time, I competed for the first time in the strapless category and finished in 2nd place. I started with the GONG Ayto 12m kite, but since the wind picked up, I switched to the 9m Ayto. I also had the opportunity to ride a borrowed 5’0 Catch HDCC from Airton Cozzolino. Big thanks to him. This board is crazy good. I’m super proud of this result and now fully focused for tomorrow’s Freestyle event. Let’s go! Brazil on top!”
