TEAM NEWS: FRANCESCO CAPPUZZO ON THE PODIUM IN ITALY
Three consecutive race wins placed our team rider in third place at the WingFoil Racing World Cup event in Cagliari.
The championship leaders regained their positions at the top of the rankings on the third and final day of competition, which continued to be marked by challenging conditions on this Italian leg of the Tour.
The third day, which took place this Saturday, determined the finalists and semi-finalists for the races scheduled on Sunday. The current championship leader, Mathis Ghio, along with Kamil Manowiecki and Francesco Cappuzzo, dominated the races in the different groups of riders that had been defined on the first day following two long-distance races.

At the end of the day, Kamil Manowiecki secured a direct spot in the finals, along with Mathis Ghio. Francesco Cappuzzo narrowly missed qualifying by just 0.3 points, despite three consecutive wins in the last races. Unfortunately, he couldn't capitalize on this momentum during the races planned for Sunday. The lack of wind on the final day froze the rankings, with Kamil Manowiecki in first place, Mathis Ghio in second, and Francesco Cappuzzo in third.
Noteworthy is Julien Rattotti's impressive performance in the event, excelling in the long-distance races and finishing in 5th place overall. Bastien Escofet won the last race before the wind completely died down, positioning himself among the semi-finalists. However, the absence of wind prevented him from making a comeback in the rankings.
Our riders now turn their attention to Brazil, where the final leg of the Wingfoil Racing Tour will take place. For the French riders, action resumes this week with the French Championships in Leucate.
