Extra efficient when you are too much fast and when the wave doesn’t have a long shoulder or you don’t want to spend a lot of time on a move before coming back in the trim line, the snap back is probably one of the best SUP trick and the easiest.
The main difference with a classic cut back is the fact when the board goes flat in the half of the move, the move to the curl is stopped by pushing a lot on the board then to reverse the trajectory to the shoulder.
This is really close to a slash back but not one because the rotation center is still the tail and not the center of the board as on a real slash back.
One more time, all is in the paddle use.
