New spinnaker fabric available, stiffer and even more durable, on the Droid and Neutra Aramid X Team Series!

To respond to certain requests made on our networks this winter, we produced 200 pieces of an ultimate upgrade of our competition wings with a reinforced spinnaker fabric. More power, more hang time, less tolerance and a little less lightness, going for the extra X is not without consequences.

You have the choice of construction on our worldwide bestsellers:
- the Team Series Aramid: top performances while maintaining forgiveness.
- the Team Series Aramid X: ultimate performance and less forgiving.

“Personally, I love this new material because I come from windsurfing and kiting. I like power. When it’s ultra light (less than 6 knots) I can ride a 4.5m2 Droid on a 1200 Veloce H foil with the Cruzader. This is 0.5m2 less than my usual Aramid which I find more tolerant in stronger winds. I had the chance to test them at 104kg and 78kg, so I have a very broad view of their performance. I will prefer the Droid in X to undersize the wing, and the Neutra in Aramid to maintain tolerance. Malo is the opposite because he is already full power on the Droid, he always sails one size over me in the strong wind. With 81 gr/m2, compared to the usual 56, the weight gain is limited and largely offset by the increased responsiveness of the Aramid X.

UPE Aramid or UPE Aramid X?

This new technology does not replace our UPE Aramid wings assembled with triple ripstop canopy. They each have their reason for being.

Compared to a UPE Aramid wing, a UPE Aramid X wing gains power and rigidity. The difference is clear in the hands. So much so that it will even seem less tolerant and less smooth to some. We have a feeling that is very close to windsurfing where the use of a harness is recommended, if not essential.
