I finally discovered a surf board that I thought was not for me.
I started surfing 5 years ago : I do not manage to get up on a minimalibu. I started the SUP and I was hooked because amused, well advised and supervised, the passion was forwarded to me. Then the multiplication of sessions is permitted to start sliding surfing, learning to read the waves … after 1 year, I had a longboard (IT10 ‘) for too windy sesh in SUP. For 1 year, I begin to be attracted by more hollow waves, where my longboard displays some maneuverability limits. So I was looking for a board to complement, quite short but not too much, yet with enough volume and relatively easy for a passionate guy, but not a rider for 20 years.
Each desire to progress, discovery style, I found a corresponding GONG in SUP : 12, 11’11, 9’9, 6’8, 8’6, 7’7, 9’4 and Surf 10 ‘, 7’6 (only “mistake” because gap too big for my size and my level, but I will return one day) … and finally 7’2 Batmob (to sponsor).
