Feedback from FantoSlate with the Veloce H XL V3 mounted under his NOTW 8’3 EPS Pro SUP foil downwind board.
SUP Foiler: Moritz, GONG team rider, with a NOTW EPS Pro and Carbon Pro paddle and cut-protective GONG T-shirt.
Veloce setup with SUP downwind board
“Feedback on the GONG Veloce H V3 XL foil, paired with the Veloce XL stab and the NOTW 8’3 (120 L) board that I loooove 😍😍 :
This setup delivers a seriously smooth ride — fast, agile, and super efficient for pumping. Even with its 19-inch width, the board is a blast to ride, taking off surprisingly early. The foil kicks in the moment a bump or wave shows up, lifting you effortlessly into flight.”
Glide and lift
“The Veloce H V3 XL foil stands out for its ability to glide through sections smoothly while maintaining excellent lift and offering great glide…
Even with its 108 cm wingspan, it’s surprisingly nimble — carving smooth turns and offering a super stable ride, even in solid head-high sets.
(You might just need to ease off the gas a little before committing to a turn… but honestly, for a skilled rider, it handles it effortlessly).”
Pumping, stab and speed.
“Pumping is super efficient for linking sections — and it moves fast.
The Veloce stab doesn’t feel draggy at all underwater…
For its size, I’d even say it rides pretty loose for a 176 cm².
It’s got solid lift too, so you can cruise slow when needed.
A top-tier setup for riders chasing glide, speed, and control — not airtime or fancy tricks.
The Veloce feels more like carving a swallow tail snowboard 😀, while the Fluid gives off full snowpark vibes .
In short, pure magic… once again.
Thanks to the photographer.
P.S. — I also tried it with the Fluid L stab: still an awesome ride, just a touch tighter on the turns compared to the Veloce, but honestly, the difference is subtle.”
