“🔥 First feedback on the Ultra Trail 4XL. A huge shock and full of hope for what’s next!
Here’s a little share after my very first session with the Ultra Trail 4XL 2000 cm²… and honestly, what a revelation 🤯!
To give some context: I come from wing foiling (fairly experienced), and I started pump foiling a few months ago. I began with a Kluber 80 and a Sirus 2XL v3, but I always found that combo too demanding for my size (87 kg, 44 years old), especially for dead starts.
My spot is a dock where you can’t run at all, so every start is tricky, foot placement has to be perfect, which makes the discipline even more technical 😅.
This summer, I switched to a Kluber 95 cm with a Trail XL: that’s the combo that really unlocked things for me 🙌.
After that, I managed to handle the Sirus 2XL, even though the Kluber 80 cm is still a bit too technical for me.”
First session on the Ultra Trail
“And then… first session with the Ultra Trail 4XL: despite really bad conditions (wind, chop, and water full of debris 🌊💨), I managed to fly right from the first tries!
What amazed me most was how much the Ultra Trail 4XL floats and lifts. It’s lighter than I expected despite its 188 cm wingspan, and its thick profile gives insane lift 🔥
The square, thick wingtips are a real plus, no danger even in contact, unlike sharper wings like the Veloce H and HDW.
I can tell I still have a lot of technique to work on before I can fully tap into the potential of this front wing, but already, the sensations are incredible.
👉 This first session confirmed how much equipment makes all the difference in this discipline. You shouldn’t skip steps, each upgrade should come at the right time.
The Kluber 87 cm fits me like a glove for my size, and I’m already looking forward to the second session to keep progressing and discover everything this Ultra Trail 4XL has to offer 😍”
