I didn't think I'd have such an easy time with this NOTW 8'3. INCREDIBLE glide and take-off.
Combined with the Fluid H v3 1300 and Fluid XXL stab combo, I think I'll be able to flatstart as I was almost taking off on the flat today, even before catching the wave.
Amazing stability, impressive glide, and its width lets you carve smoothly... I felt like I was flying on a wave SUP…
The swing weight is excellent in flight, with no inertia for a board of this size. I even lent it to a friend who wanted to try it out lying down in prone mode. He caught two waves with ease and confirmed afterward that the board had insane glide and was super stable. So, there are definitely other options to consider!
The pad is comfortable and grippy. The front bulb is really pleasant; I even felt a bounce sensation under the front foot that helped me pop off the flat water, generating energy and glide to take flight quickly.
I set my foil to position 11 and found it very well-balanced. I can also confirm that I'm more stable on this board than with on a wave SUP in under 7'. The take-off is incredible: when a series comes in (50 cm is enough), maybe 1 or 2 paddle strokes, and I'm already flying. It's insane!
