First session with the light and agile Droid UPE Aramid for Francisco who was impressed by its high wind range.
Conditions of the test
“Today was a strong day, a bit irregular as the Westerly winds are here.
Droid mount on the Aramid river 4 m. There must have been about 18 knots with stronger gusts. The sea was starting to form some waves. Not an easy spot as we went out from a small beach with a lot of current towards rocks downwindand. Besides, the wind was close to turning offshore. I had a Curve H 900 and a Veloce stabilizer H 44 on a Mint board 2024 4’10.”
Agile, reactive and light
“We started and everything was great, as always the Droid can do it all, very agile, reactive and light. After the first hour, the wind picked up a lot and I tried to hold on to the 4 m. It's possible but it's not enjoyable. Even though the wing can handle a lot of wind without doing anything weird I decided to go out and change to 3 m. We continued for 1 more hour but it was starting to rain and it's better to save it for another day so you don't take unnecessary risks.”
Quality wing
“The quality and nobility of the Droid has to be emphasized, it can withstand a lot of wind withcisco control. It's just my impressions, it's always about enjoying yourself to the fullest. Some images and video from the shoot. (Thanks Andresito for the trick recital). Greetings”
