Paul shares his experience testing the Display in perfect conditions for a test—by which we mean, completely imperfect conditions.

Kitesurfer: Teke on a Display kite with a Sway twin tip.
Balance and bar feel
"Hello everyone, here’s a little feedback on the performance and my impression of the Display 11m (as a reminder, GONG lent me 2 Unik and 1 Display kites because I wanted to get a feel for them before using them in my school or recommending them to clients). Quick session at Sables Blancs Penthièvre, light, irregular wind, and bad chop—perfect for a test . On the sand, after launching, the kite feels well-balanced, it moves easily, and the bar feel is pleasant."
Lift and transitions
"First few runs with the twin tip, the kite pulls well, and like the Unik, the feeling is good from the first few minutes. I mistimed a backloop transition, but a kite loop realigned me without throwing me off balance, allowing for a soft landing. The kite relaunches well. I appreciate the responsiveness and stiffness of this kite. I can tell I'm often riding in the lower wind range as my bar is fully sheeted in, but it works. I like the kite's lift during transitions—it's gentle and supportive. I didn’t attempt any high jumps due to the conditions and the state of the water."
The Display when riding strapless
"I grabbed my strapless board to see how it handles, and again, it feels comfortable. It pulls, but without feeling like a tractor, and it turns quickly without throwing you off the board. I tried some rotations with board, grabs and simple jumps (modestly, as I’m a bit rusty and the conditions weren’t great). The kite forgives if needed, and you always know where it is. I came out of the water after 40 minutes, happy with the test but wanting more. I’d like to try it in stronger wind and cleaner water, but so far, so good. Honestly, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this kite to my students after their lessons. It’s safe, fun, and progressive. Great job again, team #GONG.
