Depending on the country, the laws vary, but as of today, the vast majority of them and logically the wing obeys the regulations applicable to windsurfing.

Restrictions and safety rules are identical.

The rules of navigation are those applicable to a windsurfing board at the place of your practice.

As the wing has no mast foot, therefore, no link between the board and the kite, the possibility of losing one of the elements at sea and being in distress is certain.

It is therefore imperative to be connected to the wing by a solid link (leash) and to the board by another solid link (leash). This point is the only difference with a windsurfing board.

Key points:

  • The wing is generally a windsurfing board without mast foot.
