Rail saver on an inflatable board

When your leash is under tension, for example when falling in waves, it can exert significant force up to causing damage to the rail of the tail.

To prevent this risk, your leash and its rail saver should be correctly fixed. The rail saver is the strip of fabric at the end of your leash. By its wide strip of fabric, the rail saver distributes the tensions on the rails better.

To ensure its protective effect on a rigid board, the attachment rope that connects it to the plug must be reduced to a minimum. This rope cannot be in contact with the rail. On an inflatable board, this attachment rope could also cause damage.

To deal with this problem, the rail saver is connected directly to the leash ring on the back of the board without using any rope. This method guarantees optimum efficiency of your rail saver.
