Nose slide to 360

To ring the changes, why not end your nose ride with a 360 rotation? Unhook the fins and slide from the nose. We explain to you the key moments of this move illustrated here by L’Ours.

Management of the paddle

First of all, the management of the paddle at the beginning of the move. If needed, you can operate a vertical support on the wave, from top to bottom, to manage the glide of your nose ride. To trigger the nose slide, switch to a horizontal movement, from back to front. A good nose slide allows you to stall early in the slope and therefore to hold diagonal nose slides with speed.

The posture

Then, it’s on the front leg that everything is played. The lower the nose slide is in the slope, the more this leg is tightened to keep the glide and lock the rotation. As soon as you want to flip into the 360, bend the front leg again.

Finally, observe the projection of the chest towards the tail in the middle of the 360°. As soon as you feel the turn coming, immediately swing your shoulders backwards, this is what will allow you to complete this full turn. This allows L’Ours to direct the move instead of being subjected to it and to keep the speed for the end of the move as well as for the transition to the next action..
