There are two main ways to perform an air jibe on a wing foil depending on whether you switch your feet before or after crossing the axis of the wind. Whether you are goofy or regular, the easiest way is to launch your air jibe on your natural stance. Depending on which tack you are on, you will either do an air jibe to switch (this is the easiest because you are attacking from the front), or a switch to air jibe on the other side.
This trick is rather easy to try as long as you accept to project yourself forward, in reverse ;). Here are the key points of this move step by step:
Gain speed with a crosswind and sink the foil to prepare the pop.
As you pull up the foil to take off, place your weight on the back to amplify the pop.
Then, place the wing in an umbrella position (above you) without letting the handles go. Bring your body back together and pull your back foot forward until it crosses the axis of the wind.
Look towards the landing zone and dampen the jump by straightening your legs.
On landing, you can switch your hands. Then sheet in to get going again.
