The ultimate glide in light wind conditions with reasonable dimensions.

Presentation

The Cruzader Point LW is our 100% light wind wing board.

With it, you're guaranteed to fly before even feeling the wind on your face. Paired with a Sirus and a Droïd, it's unbeatable. And with a Veloce HDW, it's pure delight!

This new LW model benefits from all the improvements of the Cruzader Point, while being 100% focused on gliding performance in minimal wind. For this, we’ve made no compromises in this extreme program.

The Cruzader Point LW is narrow for better glide. Its rails are round at the nose, forming a true missile that slices through the water. Everything on this board is designed to glide as fast as possible with the least amount of energy.

Beyond the quest for glide, we’ve boosted its pumping abilities. The tail is very special on the LW: the maximum thickness is just behind the back foot, then it drops towards the tail with a fall on the deck and a kick tail on the hull. The result is a board that propels you forward with every push on the back foot. The foil activates very early, and you start flying. It's revolutionary.

You can forget about those days where you’re just not flying. All those light wind sessions with swell will be yours. And if you're riding in an inland or wind-shaded area, this is the magic board.

The 5 available sizes range from 5’9 x 80L to 6’9 x 120L, with widths between 43.5 cm and 49.5 cm. It’s sleek and 100% performance-focused.

For greater accessibility, the 5 XL sizes, from 6'0 x 110L to 7'0 x 160L, offer widths from 55 cm to 61.3 cm. More comfort, while remaining ultra-high-performance in light winds.

For those who use “no volume” boards, you can count on the Cruzader Point LW as a second board to enjoy light conditions, offering the most incredible takeoff without going too long.

You have dozens of strap adjustment possibilities, centered or offset, for surfing or cruising, and a perfect pad for strapless riding. With its extra-long boxes, the Point LW will adapt to your preferred setting.

In addition to being beautiful, the Cruzader Point LW is lightweight and very rigid thanks to its FSP Pro construction, which is ultra-strong and durable.

Shape
OUTLINE

With a very narrow outline, the glide is ultimate for picking up speed effortlessly and taking off with just a few pumps. And in these light conditions, balance is rarely an issue, so we maximize the glide.

ROCKER & KICKTAIL

The tight rocker of the Cruzader Point LW makes for a glide that’s a real advantage in light wind. You don't need much wing size. No more need for 8m²; a 5m² is more than enough. You can also use high-aspect foils to increase glide, which in turn boosts apparent wind. No need to pump while flying to accelerate with this fast combo. You can fly effortlessly in just 6 knots.

To further optimize takeoffs in light wind, the kicktail helps to free up the hull and reduce contact with the waves.

HULL

The hull of the Cruzader Point LW is perfectly streamlined at the nose and completely flat in the center, offering uncompromised glide. The water flow is optimized, allowing for maximum glide to take off very easily and quickly, even with a small foil. You can reduce your front wing by 200cm² and still achieve the same takeoff.

TAIL

The pin tail of the Cruzader Point LW is magical for glide and minimizes drag to the fullest. Combined with its kicktail, the bulk is reduced to a minimum, and the comfort during touchdowns is optimal.

The maximum thickness of the board at the back strap boosts pumping by enhancing the rebound from the pop-out effect. As soon as you push with the back foot, the board shoots forward. The foil engages much earlier, allowing you to fly with even less wind. Magical!

RAILS

Straight and sharp rails at the tail give the Cruzader Point LW more glide, similar to a windsurf board. The sharp side provides more glide, drive, and makes the takeoff phase easier. In the center, the rails are less vertical. At the nose, they are very softened in the front third for added comfort while surfing and better glide before taking off. You can ride on the water, in contact, without any sudden braking: perfect for surfing.

NOSE

Pointed nose for maximum responsiveness and an extra touch of safety in turns, reinforced by the nose bulb that makes takeoff and popping back up easier.

Buying guide

For whom?

The Cruzader Point is designed for experienced to intermediate riders (with XL versions).

It will offer you the best combination of easy takeoff and stylish surfing.

Its pointed tips require a solid sense of balance, so you need to have good experience and be in shape.

For what ?

Its program is wide:

  • light light liiiiiight wind

  • surf, surf, surf

  • downwind freefly

  • freerace

This board is capable of taking off very, very early and delivering great performance, even in challenging conditions.

Which board size?

With 11 sizes, the Cruzader Point LW offers volumes from 80 to 160L. The choice of volume depends of course on the rider's preferences and skill level.

For a light wind-specific board, rider weight +15L is ideal for advanced to expert riders. For an intermediate level, rider weight +30 to 40L will provide comfort and great performance.

Which foil?

The Cruzader Point LW will be perfect with foils of the H range.

The Curve H: the combo of maneuverability and lift. It is the queen of carving and low end (which doesn’t mean it can’t pick up speed!). It is also the most comfortable for pumping, allowing for numerous connections without burning out your thighs.

The Fluid H: the combo of maneuverability and speed. Perfect for making tight turns, going fast, gliding, and having a very responsive foil. With a very powerful pop added to that, it’s a foil that can truly go anywhere you want, both in the water and in the air!

The Veloce H: the combo of glide, speed, and carves. With these qualities, it is a machine for freeride and long carves, freefly, and downwind. With it, you can glide and connect bumps without limits with unparalleled fluidity. It has a great acceleration capacity on the wave and a low stalling speed, making it easy to fly in all conditions.

The Veloce HDW: 100% glide with a ratio of 13+. Fully focused on endless gliding, the Veloce HDW is the queen of downwind and fast pumping; it also excels in light winds with its infinite acceleration and formidable upwind capability.

The Sirus: Pumping and infinite glide. The most efficient front wing for ultra light wind.

Which stabilizer?

Combinations:

Ideally, we recommend pairing a Curve H stabilizer with your Curve H front wing, as these two elements are designed for the same purpose and optimized to work in perfect harmony.

However, you can also tailor your stabilizer choices to your preferences. A Curve stabilizer on a Veloce FW will give you a foil that’s carrying, maneuverable, relatively fast, and has excellent glide. Pair a Fluid stabilizer with the Veloce FW, and you’ll have slightly less maneuverability but much more speed while maintaining a strong front foot. Put a Veloce stabilizer on the Veloce FW, and you'll experience the ultimate glide, with a very smooth feel.

Size:

The ideal size will depend on your board, skill level, weight, spot conditions, and front wing.

We’ve calculated all stabilizer and front wing pairs so that, for example, an M is ideal with an M in all models.

But you can also play with the size:

  • A larger size (L for FW M) will give you more front foot support, firmer footing, less liveliness, and reduced speed. It's reassuring but less performance-oriented.
  • A smaller size (S for FW M) will offer less stability, more responsiveness, greater acceleration, and more radical performance. Highly effective but somewhat unstable.

Note that instability can also be an advantage—for pop, of course, and for surfing to some extent. The positive side of instability is its reactivity. It's up to you to decide if that’s what you’re aiming for.
