Wear a life vest

Surfing is an awesome sport and statistically quite dangerous. When the waves are too big for you, it is very difficult to make it to the outside and you can put yourself into serious danger. But this risk exists. And it’s enough to make you uncomfortable. It is therefore mandatory to put a Leash that connects you to your board. This is an unsinkable object that will ensure your safety and give you something to hold onto if you find yourself in a bad situation. Thanks to your Leash, you are allowed not to wear a lifejacket, which is like unlike all other water sports. Your Wetsuit also plays a role in helping flotation. Think about using one. Note that nothing prevents you from wearing a buoyancy aid. When using it can be particularly unpleasant when you paddle. But in big surf, almost all the hardcore chargers use survival jackets that they inflate with cartridges to get back to the surface when facing off giant waves. The first precaution is to be a good swimmer and understand the spot to know how to react effectively if your Leash breaks and the current gets a hold of you.
