Equipped with our innovative and high-end rigid handles, we immediately feel that this design by our R&D is the real deal. These handles are fixed with two screws on US nuts: the same as those of your foil! This allows you to switch from the new rigid handles to our new soft handles or boom with 3 turns of tightening key!!! It’s crazy. A real game changer at the service of your preferences. It allows you to adapt your wing to your level, to your feeling, and even to the type of session. You can for instance use the rigid handles for freestyle, the boom for freerace and the soft handles for wave riding. We offer a well thought-out system that leaves absolutely no play. It is perfectly rigid and impossible to untighten while sailing. No hook and loop, no rope, no fragile parts, no plastic parts that fail after a year, nothing that can ruin your session. On the contrary, our parts enclose the straps which encircle the entire central strut, as on wings with handles: total reliability proven for years. No risk of seeing the central strut torn off by the handle after a few months… Our handle bends are made of 20% nylon fiber to reduce the risk of damaging your board. Because there’s nothing worse than carbon hitting carbon. The front handle bend is very high to offer a pistol style of grip, it’s a parameter not to be overlooked. The nylon of our handle bends is perfectly rigid but sufficiently absorbent in shocks. We also advise beginners to favor soft handles to protect their board and their front teeth 😉 Ditto when you try your first back flips and end up lying on the central strut!!! Our handle tubes are made of prepreg carbon applied in 4 directions for minimum weight and maximum strength/stiffness. It’s the most high-end tech on the market to make no concessions between stiffness, weight and performance. With their oval section, they offer better grip for less fatigue and maximum comfort. The ovalization also offers more rigidity while allowing the diameter to be reduced. Our rigid handles are covered with a textured molded grip which further improves its grip and reduces effort. It’s velvet… The appearance of our system with rigid handles with this triple solution rigid handles / boom / soft handle makes it possible to vary the dynamics of the wing. Indeed, the boom takes up a very large part of the bending forces exerted on the central strut: the wing is more rigid, and the trailing edge retains its tension and opens less. The soft handles give a very different feeling: smooth and more secure. And rigid handles are the exact compromise between these two feelings. The handles are therefore not just another form of grip: they are a performance element that you can adjust with GONG! Thus the profile is even more effective in responding to your desires. With the rigid handles, the accelerations are stunning and the wing seems to be able to speed up to infinity. And this is crucial for high performance. We have a direct connection with the wing which responds in a split second. All those who tested had the same reaction: wow it goes up and lifts you so much more that the first jumps are scary!!! At GONG we put everything into our products. Our handles come from six different molds to meet the real needs of users:

• A front handle that sits perfectly in the hand without having to twist the wrist. It is a shorter handle because it must position your hand with great precision in relation to the center of effort. And the fore bend of this front handle is large enough to allow pistol grip in DW/freefly and surf. You thus keep some power that you can micro-adjust, and you eliminate the possible flaps which delay you. Very very practical when you know how to use it well.
• A long rear handle to control the power by the simple positioning of the hand. Its length also allows you to grab the wing in tricks with your eyes closed. This rigid rear handle is also closer to the strut to avoid riding with the rear elbow bent.

Finally, as nothing was left to chance, the space between our two handles is the perfect center distance to place the harness line for even longer and more intense sessions. And with rigid handles, it’s not a luxury to be able to relieve yourself while keeping an incredible speed because with the harness you can chill out and be full speed at the same time: no compromise 😉 The soft handles sold as an option are more firmly connected to the wing. They can bend but deform much less in twist than on the same handles sewn on the central strut. Indeed, our screwed fastening system provides total firmness. So even with soft textile handles we gain in performance. Great luxury for those who want to save a few tens of grams and gain in perfs/feeling. You can even mix the rigid and textile handles, or change them during the progression, or even according to the types of session: waves, freestyle, freeride etc… It’s very simple, very well finished, and really clever. This wing is perfectly neutral when surfing. Light, with almost 300g less than the V2, you don’t even know it’s there when floating behind you. And with its tight trailing edge, it doesn’t slow you down. You just have to grab the downwind handle while surfing to forget about it. The main evolution of the Neutra RH in 2023 is its improved dynamism thanks to stronger tensions, a hyper-rigid central strut, and a re-segmented leading edge. Rotations and maneuvers are executed with an even more instinctive steering. In jumps you clearly climb higher and longer. It’s incredible. The central segment locks the dihedral to maintain a perfect profile and boost lift. The curved leading edge focuses the hollow and power where your hands are on the central strut. The tips are super free, the rotations accelerate! This shape gives you a feeling of lightness and absolute freedom because the roundness of the leading edge helps changing the orientation of the wing, especially when steered by the downwind/surf handle. And when a tip of the wing touches water when landing a jump, the roundness of the tips mean that they won’t stick on the water: an immense quality in the waves! When riding in between maneuvers, it feels more powerful, and much more precise. It pulls frankly forward, which gives lightning fast accelerations between waves. Firm and responsive, it’s a high performance wing that knows no limits.
