What is the difference between our First range and Couine Marie range ?

Quiver partner?

This board is sold with an adjustable ALU GONG paddle, if you want to improve performance, get a MIX 30% paddle, this will greatly improve your comfort for sessions of more than an hour.

If you want to surf, you can complete your quiver with a smaller FIRST or a COUINE MARIE SHORTSUP or LONGBOARD.

What length for your paddle ?

The way you paddle, your stance and the frequency at which you paddle will depend on your program. You will need a longer paddle for touring for multiple hours, while you would need a shorter paddle for surfing in order to facilitate quick and strong paddle strokes to catch a wave. Take your time to pick the right length/setting for your paddle, because it will help give you the stability and performance you will need.

Examples:
For a 100% surfing session, set your paddle between your waist and +10cm.
For more relaxed surfing, a +10cm paddle will be perfect.
For a ride, set your paddle between +10 and +20cm.

Which leash ?

The leash is provided in your pack. Check its condition before each session and change it every year. This is your life jacket.

The FIRST ships with a US center fin. It is known that half the performance of a SUP board comes from the fin used, hence why GONG had to install a standard US Box for the center fin which is the gold standard when it comes to the choice of the best fin for your skill level, way of riding and conditions.

The paddle is included in the pack ! It can be adjusted in length and is perfect for a beginner.

The GONG leash is absolutely necessary to ride the FIRST safely, for you and others. It is very high quality and the ankle attachment is both comfortable and durable.

The FIRST is equipped with a neoprene center handle to carry the board easily.

The net at the front of the board is perfect to secure your waterproof bag and to store the paddle when taking a break. Ideal to take safety equipments and some snacks with you on your cruise.

The Deck Pad was specifically engineered and designed to get the best balance of grip and comfort. You will be able to paddle for hours without your feet hurting and without slipping, even when surfing.

The included double action inflatable pump is super efficient in order to be the first paddling out.

All those equipment are packaged in a well thought out bag, built to last with good quality materials.

Delivery delay

We indicate a preparation and shipping time of 3 working days. In reality, the majority of orders are shipped within 24/48 hours.

The delivery time, i.e. delivery time of the package to your home, then depends on the delivery location and the carrier.

We work with reliable and efficient carriers. 99% of shipments go perfectly and quickly. In the case of the remaining 1%, rest assured that we will do what is necessary with the carrier.

Shipping fees

Unlike other sites, shipping costs are not hidden behind the price of our products. You know exactly what shipping costs you, and you are not disadvantaged if you choose to collect your order at our GONG Space Center.

Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address.

Tracking your package

Delivery tracking is managed directly by the carriers to whom we have entrusted your packages. They will contact you by email or SMS to allow you to choose delivery methods and follow the route of your package.

Carriers

We work with the best transport societies to deliver to you throughout Europe and the world within very short deadlines. We chose them for their quality of service and their compliance with deadlines.

For mainland France, 80% of your orders arrive at their destination in less than 48 hours of processing.

For Europe, delivery times vary from 3 to 6 working days, depending on the country of destination.

For the rest of the world, delivery times depend on transit time and customs clearance time. This delay depends on customs and can last from a few days to a few weeks depending on the destination and seasonality.

Please note, transport time is added to preparation/shipping time. Two companies collaborate on your order (GONG and the carrier). Each one masters its activity and is committed to optimizing its deadlines so that you are delivered as quickly as possible and at a reasonable price.

Receipt of your product

Upon delivery, check the condition of your package in the presence of the carrier. A complete explanation email on the procedure to follow will be sent to you when your order is shipped.

Despite our requirements and all the care we take in the packaging and protection of your product, transport hazards may occur, and your product may suffer more or less significant transport damage.

Note that the products are protected in their carton. If you have any doubts, simply refuse delivery and contact us.
