GEAR: ANTI DRIFT SOLUTION

In order not to systematically bear off when getting started in wing foiling, we have equipped the Lance, the Zuma and the HIPE (in 6’5 and 7’5), with our Anti Drift System or ADS. This is a fin box placed in front of the front foot that allows you to stay on course without flying. In SUP foiling configuration, the fin also effectively reduces the row effect.

In wing foiling

During the first steps on a wing foil, the phases of flight during which riding upwind is a formality thanks to the foil, can be rare or even nonexistent. As a result, the downwind drift is significant, which may involve a long walk back to your starting point. The ADS system will greatly limit drift which will save you a painful return carrying your equipment on your back. Rather than walking, you will spend more time in the water and therefore progress faster. You no longer have the stress of having to fly.

In flight, the ADS fin will not affect your navigation, whether in a straight line or when going for tight curves. If the wind drops and flying isn’t possible anymore, ADS is again a great help in maintaining your course. The ADS fin is therefore not just for beginners. In addition, it allows you to erase small errors during pumping.

In SUP foiling

The ADS fin helps to effectively reduce the row effect when paddling and especially when taking off. The row effect is very present on these small boards. So the ADS helps to easily take more waves, we progress more quickly, we therefore take more pleasure by optimizing each session. The benefits are numerous without altering the quality of the flight on the foil, this additional fin therefore remains an interesting asset for experienced practitioners.
