INFO: RE-STOCKING !!!

Many of you contact us about out-of-stock references and their availability to come. To see more clearly, know that the pre-sales system and product availability are defined in the “Pricing / Shipping” tab of each product. In all transparency, L’Ours goes a step further and explains how stocks are stocked up again at GONG.

“Hello,

I’m going to try to clarify the subject of stock shortages / restocking so that everyone can be clear on this subject.

1. GONG has signed up on a production volume that is based on the manufacturing rhythm of a large transportable quantity. 3/4 weeks for rigid boards, wings, foils… half that time for inflatables for example. 2. We manufacture, and once the products are finished, we release online the quantities for products currently out of stock on our website. You can then take over and order a product for yourself. 3. This product will take 30 days to arrive at our warehouse. Upon receiving it, we ship it to you without delay.

This is what you see when there is an item out of stock online.

This means many things:

1. We are constantly manufacturing, which means that at least one production batch is available at the end of each manufacturing cycle as explained in the 1st point. Careful, this is a minimum as we can have several orders produced at the same time in the same factory with a delay of a few days. -> To remember: there is a shipment of our products every 3 or 4 weeks minimum.

2. When our products are finished, checked and in conformity, we offer them online. If these items are sold out within 2 days, we will have to wait for the next batch to be finished, checked and in conformity before we offer it online. This means you will have to wait roughly 30 days before there is another release date online. The out of stock condition will be displayed for 30 days, then stock for 2 days. This is annoying and unavoidable considering the demand we face. -> To remember: our factory never stops so whenever there is a production cycle completed it is immediately released online for you. The out of stock isn’t a discontinuance in a product, simply a quick pause in availability.

Generally speaking, there are 2 cases for a re-stocking:

• The production is posted online: high volume of products available
• A customer cancels his order: one unit is available

If it is the second case, it worries everyone and leads to confusion. But how should we proceed? We don’t want to put anyone aside, and our website sends an alert to all subscribed to this waiting list. And the first one to pay, wins.It is radical but most certainly the fairest solution. Once this order has been placed, we go back to the first situation: we have to wait a maximum if 30 days for the next production to be finished, controlled and dispatched.

Please understand that on one hand we don’t want to sell products that don’t exit. On the other hand, we don’t want to favor someone over somebody else, so we email everyone on the waiting list, every time.

Finally these cycles and volumes of manufacturing can be ’sped up’ to an extent. When you want immediately triple your production, you have to scale everything accordingly. GONG’s strength is succeeding in accelerating in a few months where in traditional networks you have to wait on feedback from resellers requests as well as the cashflow which can sometimes take up to a year. With GONG it is direct and cash: our capacity to increase is therefore hyper growing. You want something, we do it.
