“Some Feedback on my new 5’11 EPS Pie I just received last week.
Ordered on Monday, in hand on Thursday and sweet little gift of waves that came through on the weekend, which doesn’t always happen in the Med…
I’ve always wanted a Fish, and the price I couldn’t pass up.
Model : 5’11.
Rider Size : 1’85 m, 85 kg.
Surf Skill : we could say intermediate..
Normal Board : compact Shortboard with similar volume (39L).
So I took her out on the weekend, 3 sessions in 2 days : 2 in small 1 m , choppy waves and 1 glassy, 1,5m session, but soft.
Fabrication/Finition quality, excellent for the price, no defects whats ever.
On the water : In the waves, super fast and she takes off on her own and super fast.
Super stable, easy and quick to paddle, and Super light under the arm!!
I had a hard time at first with turning, it took me a few waves to find my foot placement and pressure zones but after that it was all smiles.
The natural speed helped to erase any errors. I’m under this Boards spell, I’ll have to get back to you all when I get into some heavier waves. Special note : I had no indentions markings on the deck underfoot, like I have had on classic Boards, it’s not a construction wood/sandwhich.. we can’t have it all and I prefer by far this lighter type of construction!!” Surfeur : Jojo et sa GONG Surf 5’11 Pie EPS.
