Sean shares his feedback on the Fluid XXL-S after having tested it in SUP foiling.

“Here’s my Review of the Fluid XXL-S front wing used in SUP foiling. Board: Flint 5’8, 70cm mast, 40 surf stab Surf, waist to shoulder high, onshore and mushy waves.
Paddling
This wing was good to paddle and compared to my L-T Curve it felt very stable even in very choppy onshore conditions it seemed to really stabilize the board like an anchor while waiting for waves.
Take off
This wing was super super smooth. Some of the waves were doubling up with other swells and were quite steep. I had originally thought this wing would be too big but it was even easier to take off than my Curve L-T. There was no big kick and the wing just powered up smoothly.
On the Wave
The wing felt fast and very smooth. The waves were very flat and the wing just kept flying. It was simple to control the speed.
Turns and cutbacks
Turning was simple and with better technique I could see this wing being very tight on a wave. I drove the tip out of the wave and the board shot round very smooth but I fell in after. The wing also jumps very very easy too.
Overall this is another amazing wing for surfing. Much smoother than the Curve with huge potential to put limits like late deep take offs, airs, hacks etc.”
