Presentation
Developed with the GONG Pro Team, composed of multiple world and European champions, the Racer excels in slalom, racing, and long distance.
The perfect board to meet all their racing expectations, whether on flat water, very choppy, or in light to strong wind conditions. To achieve very high speeds in competition, you need a small, thin, fast foil that works especially at high speeds. At the same time, you need to be able to take off reasonably early, especially after a fall or in light wind.
The shape of the Racer is narrow and planes early to offer you the best performance over a huge range of uses.
The particularly tapered nose with its bulb, rounded rails, and narrowness allow for full-speed riding and aggressive maneuvers without holding back. Reduced windage, painless touches, it pushes performance to the maximum without stress.
If you want to compete with your friends, participate in regional, national, or world competitions, the Racer is the ideal board.
Outline
The very narrow outline of the Racer is specially designed to allow maximum glide and early take-off even in the lightest winds.
Its rocket-like profile also offers minimal wind resistance to achieve maximum speeds effortlessly.
Its narrow width also allows you to take very sharp angles without contacting the water. This is a significant comfort gain to maintain high speeds even in choppy waters.
Rocker
The overall tight rocker maximizes glide for an early planing start similar to windsurfing.
The positive rake at the tail provides more front foot support and foil control at high speeds by allowing constant pressure on the front foot. It also ensures more comfort in choppy waters by lifting the nose at all speeds. And in case of a touchdown, it avoids sticking to the water.
Hull
The flat hull is 100% planing. Water flow is optimal, allowing maximum glide for easy and quick take-offs even with a small foil. You can reduce your front wing by 200cm2 for the same take-off.
The softened rails at the front third offer comfort and smoothness during water contacts even at high speeds or in choppy waters.
Rails
Straight and sharp rails at the tail give the Racer a larger useful surface and therefore more stability when stationary. The sharpness also provides more glide, drive, and facilitates the take-off phase.
Why sharp rails?
Criteria have evolved, and so has demand. The wings are much more powerful than in 2022, for example. So, you can glide before flying, even in light winds. This allows the use of small, enjoyable foils. We see an average drop from 200cm2 to 500cm2 in usage between 2021 and 2024.
Tail
A flat and very narrow tail for even more glide and minimum bulk. The tight tail rocker allows optimal glide on the water before flying. Touchdowns at full speed are no longer a problem.
Nose
The bulb on this thin nose balances the board's volume and increases stability when stationary.
The nose rails are very round so that no edge catches the water. The glide is perfect.
The bulb, the narrow outline, and the round rails make touches completely painless. Instead of slowing down, the Racer bounces off the water and flies back up immediately.
With confidence, you can push your limits and reach your highest top speed.

Buying guide
For whom?
You need to have a good level because the Racer is a board with a very reduced width to maximize speed and take-off performance in light wind. In larger volumes, it is more manageable, but if you take a volume adapted to your weight, kneeling in choppy waters will be challenging. So, you also need to be in good physical condition and agile. Clearly, this is the board for someone who wants to maximize their potential in speed and racing.
For what purpose?
The Racer is a slalom/race/speed board designed for slalom, racing, long distance, and speed record competitions. Ideal in light or strong winds, it offers the necessary performance at the highest level.
What size board?
The Racer is the ultimate wing board when it comes to racing. But by playing with volumes, you can adapt it to your needs:
Comfort
You can take a volume sufficient to float, around your weight + 10 or more = board volume.
- Example: I weigh 75kg + 10 = 85L to float. This means that with 85L and more, it will be easy, provided I have a very good wing level.
Sport
You can also undersize it for more reactivity. You need a high level and great agility to switch to “negative” volumes, meaning your weight > volume.
Up to your weight - 15 = volume, you can easily start kneeling by leaning a bit on the wing on the water.
- Example 1: I weigh 75kg = 75L to slightly undersize, and it remains simple. This means that with 70L, my board will slightly sink at rest, and I should be precise and athletic at each start. In competition, our Team uses between 10L and 15L less than their weight. This is currently the compromise that offers them the best performance as it boosts reactivity while still optimal for take-offs in light wind. Example 2: I weigh 75kg, and I will take a 65L to undersize without going to a pure sinker. This means that with 65L, my board will partially sink at rest, and I will have to be very precise and athletic at each start.
In competition, our Team uses between 10L and 15L less than their weight. This is currently the compromise that offers them the best performance as it boosts reactivity while still optimal for take-offs in light wind.
- Example 2: I weigh 75kg, and I will take a 65L to undersize without going to a pure sinker. This means that with 65L, my board will partially sink at rest, and I will have to be very precise and athletic at each start.
Equipments
The set of footstraps is offered with the board. Since 2023 we have reviewed the outline of our straps to further improve comfort. Developed for wing foiling, these straps with less cover do not bend when put on.
More rigid, they offer a more precise steering but are still as comfortable. There is less surface area on the feet so there is less risk of staying stuck in the straps or banging your foot on the edge of the strap when rushing into it. It also allows better leeward control (tip of the foot) and therefore a more natural attitude in wing foiling.
We have worked on every detail to improve your experience on the water.
The V-shaped footstraps perfectly center the foot on the front of the board. The position is thus more natural and allows direct and precise control in maneuvers.
For 2023, our SCS system launched on the HIPE is integrated on all our foil boards. It’s beautiful, efficient and above all it saves time you can spend on the water. With its 4 entries, the GONG double entry box facilitates the assembly and adjustment of the foil. Performance without the hassle. We leave the nuts and the screws on the plate, just insert the foil, screw and off we go! Setting up the foil is much faster and easier. It is the plug and play solution which facilitates adjustments!(inserts not supplied with the board).
A handle developed by our R&D and our ergonomics engineer has been integrated into our boards this year. We can better close our hands in it: a firmer and more comfortable grip. The depressurization screw is directly integrated into the handle.
It is placed on the hull to allow one-handed carrying. You can have the wing in the other hand to get past the whitewater or to get out of the water. And as we always do things seriously, the handle is placed in a block of hydrophobic PVC foam and covered with fiber.
The top-of-the-range 5mm thick integral pad provides maximum grip and comfort when sailing, while protecting the board from shocks. This hard brush pad sublimates the board. This flat pad provides absolute comfort and a magical grip with more precision. This is obvious on long sessions: the feet are less tired.
Included equipments :
- 2 US GONG Box Double Entry for standard foil plates equipped with 4 screw + nuts (9cm center distance). Compatible with our SCS system. This new system allows ultra-fast assembly of GONG foils.(inserts not supplied with the board).
- 5 x 5-hole footstrap inserts to optimize your position.
- 1 x large light double V-shaped front footstrap and 1 x large light rear footstrap (screws included).
- 5 mm pad : deck covering designed for great comfort and absolute grip.
- GONG carrying handle integrated in the center of the board on the hull.
- Leash plug to never lose your board.

Delivery
Delivery delay
We indicate a preparation and shipping time of 3 working days. In reality, the majority of orders are shipped within 24/48 hours.
The delivery time, i.e. delivery time of the package to your home, then depends on the delivery location and the carrier.
We work with reliable and efficient carriers. 99% of shipments go perfectly and quickly. In the case of the remaining 1%, rest assured that we will do what is necessary with the carrier.
Shipping fees
Unlike other sites, shipping costs are not hidden behind the price of our products. You know exactly what shipping costs you, and you are not disadvantaged if you choose to collect your order at our GONG Space Center.
Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address.
Tracking your package
Delivery tracking is managed directly by the carriers to whom we have entrusted your packages. They will contact you by email or SMS to allow you to choose delivery methods and follow the route of your package.
Carriers
We work with the best transport societies to deliver to you throughout Europe and the world within very short deadlines. We chose them for their quality of service and their compliance with deadlines.
For mainland France, 80% of your orders arrive at their destination in less than 48 hours of processing.
For Europe, delivery times vary from 3 to 6 working days, depending on the country of destination.
For the rest of the world, delivery times depend on transit time and customs clearance time. This delay depends on customs and can last from a few days to a few weeks depending on the destination and seasonality.
Please note, transport time is added to preparation/shipping time. Two companies collaborate on your order (GONG and the carrier). Each one masters its activity and is committed to optimizing its deadlines so that you are delivered as quickly as possible and at a reasonable price.
Eco-responsible packaging
Preserving the environment is an absolute priority. This is why we do everything possible to reduce our ecological footprint.
The most important thing is to sell quality, durable products that will be repairable and will please you for a long time.
For our shipments, we use:
- Scotch craft paper.
- Final packaging in high-end cardboard.
- For rigid boards: Flexi-Hex, very high resistance ecological packaging.
This means:
- Reusable and recyclable packaging.
- An almost total reduction in single-use plastic.
- Maximum protection and impact resistance for rigid boards thanks to the innovative Flexi-Hex honeycomb design (35mm thick).
Receipt of your product
Upon delivery, check the condition of your package in the presence of the carrier. A complete explanation email on the procedure to follow will be sent to you when your order is shipped.
Despite our requirements and all the care we take in the packaging and protection of your product, transport hazards may occur, and your product may suffer more or less significant transport damage.
Note that the products are protected in their carton. If you have any doubts, simply refuse delivery and contact us.

When you practice foil you expose yourself to possible serious risks. A poor mastering of a foil can expose you to cuts and/or serious bodily harm, even death for yourself and possibly others around you.
Foiling should be practiced, in all circumstances, by taking precautions and taking into consideration all that is involved and associated with surf/SUP sports. Remember that a foil is long and has an edge that could cause slicing and is capable of reaching very high speeds. Getting hit by a foil, or hitting another, can have dramatic and highly unwanted consequences.
Always foil far from others, and in waters that are secure and without obstacle.
Always wear a helmet and protective vest that assures floatability. Always wear a full body neoprene wetsuit.
When handling and manipulating a foil be careful not to cut yourself along its edges.
