The Neutra Aramid is the perfect wing for wave riders seeking lightness, glide, and smoothness.
Designed for hassle-free sessions, it is ideal for riders with a minimalist approach, who ride without a harness, and even strapless, as it gets you as close as possible to pure surfing sensations.
Presentation
The b brings together all the qualities sought by surfers. It becomes almost unnoticeable, allowing you to focus solely on carving and riding waves.
With a revamped shape featuring a slightly higher ratio and refined, rearward tips, it offers outstanding glide and impeccable flight stability.
Adjustments on the 2025 model include an additional section on the leading edge and a 4% decrease in tip diameter, reducing drag and improving handling. The slightly higher ratio and elongated, rearward tips ensure a fluid, natural glide, while the dynamic tip twist smooths transitions and elegantly absorbs gusts.

When it comes to construction, every detail has been crafted to enhance performance and longevity. Fiberglass micro-battens with molded tips minimize flutter on the trailing edge, improving the wing’s responsiveness and speed. Reinforced stitching and Kevlar patches on key areas provide added durability.
The leading edge and strut are constructed from UPE Aramid, the lightest and most rigid material available. This premium laminate, featuring a PET film, an UPE layer, and Aramid fibers, secures the structure while reducing weight to a minimum. This material selection makes the Neutra the lightest wing in our range, offering exceptional durability, even in the most extreme wave sessions.
The Neutra Aramid also stands out for its lack of windows, a deliberate choice to further reduce its weight and optimize its performance in surf. BOOM ONLY STRUT
The central strut of the Neutra has a "wasp-waist" shape and is designed to be ridden exclusively with a boom. There’s no excess material, as we’ve eliminated everything unnecessary to maximize performance.
This was achieved with the use of a carbon boom, which adds rigidity and keeps everything in place.
Our prepreg carbon boom also allows for significant weight savings compared to rigid handles, saving over 200 grams removing two attachment points. We also saved 30 grams thanks to the thinner strut, and every gram counts at this level. In surfing and freefly, this weight savings is essential, keeping the wing perfectly neutral and balanced.
The flex of the strut is close to zero thanks to the carbon boom that absorbs the forces at play. A non-bending strut results in a wing that stays tight, a powerful wing that never flaps and glides perfectly through the air.
Lightness and responsiveness are always prioritized in the Team Series range.
At the front of the boom, there is a pistol grip, providing a steady power that you can adjust as needed, eliminating possible flaps of the wing that slow you down when surfing in offshore wind.
The strut shape and boom angulation are strategically designed to handle the wing instinctively without constantly having to bend the rear arm. In addition to providing balanced traction in the arms, this allows for effortless, maximum power generation, ideal for jumps, for example. It’s also very effective when you’re overpowered: no more feeling of being ripped off your board, the wing remains perfectly controllable to maintain maximum comfort.

The UPE Aramid is the lightest and stiffest material on the market. The sensations in hand are simply astonishing. The wing is both one of the stiffest and one of the lightest on the market, providing an entirely new sailing experience, all at an amazing price. It’s simply incredible and perfectly in line with our commitment to offering the best to as many people as possible.
At 85g/m2 (2 times less than Dacron!), this UPE Aramid present on the leading edge and the central batten ensures, in addition to a considerable weight savings (400g on a 5m2), an unparalleled gain in stiffness and reactivity. It’s simple: the wing no longer bends! We control its twisting through the Aramid axis and the design of the shape. Thus, deformations are no longer present.
In addition to its exceptional mechanical properties, this material also has a very low absorption rate. The wing gains very little weight when wet.
Obviously, a superb material without perfect assembly is worthless, and we have worked in infinite detail to ensure the reliability of the technical solutions for its implementation. For this, we have tested all known assemblies on traction machines and innovated with new and exclusive assembly methods at GONG to surpass the standards. Our wings have never been so robust.

ROUNDED LEADING EDGE
The highly curved leading edge enhances maneuverability.
The leading edge arc releases the Neutra, enabling it to shift orientation with ease, particularly when steered with the downwind/surf handle.
The wing can be effortlessly reoriented with minimal pressure. It provides extremely smooth, fine control. This is true on reaches, particularly upwind, but especially when surfing with the wing in hand. It places itself exactly as you direct it, in the blink of an eye.
This curve adds smoothness to its entry into the air. The Neutra is progressive and free. It’s an extremely intuitive wing, with no roughness, offering very fluid handling.
The wing doesn’t snag when it touches the water. Perfect for pumping, maneuvers, and especially when surfing with the wing in hand. Instead, you can sometimes lean on the tip, or at least never worry about water contact, such as during bottom turns.
DYNAMIC TIP TWIST
The leading edge narrows rapidly and sharply toward the tips, enhancing glide, rotation, and maneuverability.
The tips, now more twisted and dynamically "twistable" than before, deliver an incredible sense of lightness and complete freedom.
During tricks, you feel perfect fluidity and an acceleration in the rotations.
The refined tips absorb gusts by releasing excess pressure, letting the wing breathe. You maintain control and never feel overwhelmed.
HIGHLY SEGMENTED LEADING EDGE
The leading edge is evenly distributed, with a short section in the center, making the wing very rigid in this area. This uniformity ensures perfect control of twist, which gradually increases towards the tips. The center of the wing generates power, while the tips absorb excess wind, providing complete control.

Neutra or Droid?

UNDERSTANDING THE GONG RANGE

Which size?
Don’t overestimate the power of wings. A rider weighing 85kg will need 15-20 knots with a 5m² wing to fly at first. After about fifteen sessions, they will be able to fly at 15 knots with a 5m². And if they are athletic, they will pump hard and lift off at 12 knots in 5m² to get through lulls at 8 knots. This is a learning process and takes time. Month by month, as you explore more specialized gear, flying in winds under 10 knots will become easy.
Which material?
The choice of leading edge material depends mainly on your program and goals. If you prefer cruising in freeride, are just starting tricks, or enjoy surf and freefly, a Dacron leading edge and central strut will be ideal.
If, on the other hand, you love riding hard with a wing that pulls powerfully and will fly sky high, don’t hesitate! The UPE Aramid will provide absolute stiffness with undeniable advantages. The performance gap is significant—it goes faster, higher, and turns incredibly well thanks to its thinner diameters.
Finally, to push even further into the performance realm, combine the UPE Aramid structure with the ultra-rigid Code X canopy fabric. You’ll boost your performance by 15%, reaching the pinnacle of high-level wing performance.

Which quiver?
The Neutra wing works with all types of equipment, but is particularly suited to a compact, lightweight board intended for surfing and freefly. Of course, it pairs best with a performance-oriented foil, with a mast of 85cm, for instance.
You'll (or should) complete this setup with a SUP and a surf foil for days with no wind, a kite to launch yourself, and likely a collection of surfboards for the perfect waves. But if you're heading toward wingoil, you probably already have these toys in your garage ;-)
What leash?
A wing leash from 5'5" to 8' is ideal. Preferably one designed specifically for winging, and of the coiled-type leash style. A short leash makes it easier to grab the wing quickly. A long leash keeps the wing further away from foil drops in the sail, giving it more space to move.
Always check its condition before each session and replace it every year. It’s your life vest.
Don’t let your wing flap around in the wind at the end of the leash, it’s not indestructible! Also, in the waves, don’t hold onto the wing with the leash, it will break or you may injure yourself.
Harness or not?
With the Neutra, the harness is really not necessary. It's great with just your hands.
Riding without a harness feels liberating as you have full freedom of movement. It’s a very pleasant feeling.
That being said, you’ll need to use a smaller wing and do shorter reaches to avoid tiring out your arms. This also means you'll have to pump frequently to take off again.
Therefore, if you prefer to ride powered up, using a harness is almost essential if you don’t want your sessions to be cut short after an hour. Setting up the harness lines is very easy (refer to our tutorials on the forum). We suggest using the least rigid and most minimal harness, with either a small hook or a windsurf-style hook for better comfort.
A range of harness lines specifically designed for winging are offered in several sizes.
So it’s up to you to decide if the sensation and aesthetics take priority over performance. But more and more riders are using harnesses, as the trend is towards more powerful wings and higher performance.
Soft handles, semi-rigid handles, rigid handles, or boom?
The choice is yours, but the trend towards the boom is clear:
- Soft textile handles for beginners, for surfing, for freefly, to protect yourself and the board, and for a very light wing.
- Semi-rigid textile handles for a good level of performance thanks to precise and responsive handling, as well as better energy transmission during pumping, for example.
- Carbon rigid handles to keep it light and generate stronger traction. Handling is extremely precise. The pistol grip on the front handle is very comfortable and practical.
- Boom for maximum power and a true “windsurf” sensation. You have the freedom to grip the wing as you wish. It allows for more tricks and a broader range of use, all while being very lightweight, contrary to what you might think.
Handles offer very compact storage in a backpack, while the boom is stored lengthwise. However, it's worth noting that you can fit just as many boom wings as handle wings in a board bag. The boom doesn’t take up more space, it just occupies it differently.
Windows or full canopy?
Wings without windows are less expensive, 200g lighter, and more compact for storage.
Wings with windows are safer, more rigid, and offer quicker responsiveness.
For beginners, a wing with windows is essential because safety takes priority over the few grams you might lose. The windows are not for sightseeing: they are designed to let you see a silhouette to prevent executing a dangerous turn that could cause a collision.
Equipments
Harness lines that can be fixed directly onto the boom and are fully compatible.
Our harness lines have been specially designed for this boom, allowing you to attach your GONG harness line and ride for hours without getting tired.
Semi-rigid textile Downwind handle
Almost rigid, but not completely to avoid damaging the board, it greatly enhances the control of the wing in both freefly and surfing.
The new oval stitching and reinforcements on the downwind handle anchor points help distribute the forces more evenly across the leading edge, ensuring long-lasting durability.
The Dyneema leash attachment is now located on the intrados side of the DW handle, preventing the leash from getting in the way while freeflying.
A carbon boom
Team Series and Pro Team Series wings are available only with a boom, as the benefits of this GONG innovation are manifold:

The boom has become essential for performing at the highest level. Indeed, one-handed tricks have become a must. And what a boost in freedom! Our wings feature the most ergonomic, lightweight, durable, and rigid boom on the market.
Our prepreg carbon boom offers a significant weight reduction compared to rigid handles, as it eliminates two fixations, saving over 200 grams. This is further complemented by an additional 30 grams saved thanks to the thinner strut.
This weight saving is crucial for surfing and freefly, as it ensures the wing remains perfectly neutral and balanced.
Zero flex in the strut thanks to the carbon boom, which absorbs the forces. A strut that doesn't bend means a taut trailing edge, resulting in a powerful wing that doesn't flutter and offers perfect glide.
The boom features a pistol grip at the front, allowing you to maintain and adjust the power as needed. This eliminates the risk of flapping, which can slow you down in waves, particularly when surfing in offshore winds.
The strut’s shape and the boom’s angle are carefully engineered to trim the wing naturally, eliminating the need to constantly bend your back arm. This not only balances the traction in your arms but also allows you to generate maximum power with minimal effort, perfect for jumps and other maneuvers.
This is also highly useful when you’re overpowered: gone is the feeling of being yanked, as the wing stays really controllable, ensuring maximum comfort.
Quick inflation with the One Pump system
The leading edge and central strut are connected by the One Pump system for quick inflation in one go. The clip then locks the airflow between the bladders to ensure the wing’s buoyancy in case of a leak in the strut or leading edge. This feature is vital for safety.
The inflation valve on the leading edge is doubled on the strut for immediate deflation and compact storage. Using One Pump, you inflate through the leading edge only in a few seconds and deflate just as quickly by unscrewing both valves.
Always deflate the strut at the same time as the leading edge. Wings don’t like to stay inflated with just the strut pressurized.
Fiberglass micro-battens
Micro fiberglass battens on the trailing edge: light and very effective in preventing flapping. They maintain the profile all the way to the trailing edge for optimal airflow.
Lightweight and strong, they are easily replaceable to keep your wing in top condition year after year.
Camera safety loops
To capture your wing sessions, we’ve added a discreet nylon leash attachment on each tip and near the strut to secure your camera mounted on the leading edge or strut with a Flymount, allowing you to ride without stress. The leash attachment is strategically placed so it doesn’t interfere with your camera’s field of view! You’ll be able to create stunning shots and share them without the risk of losing your camera!
Repair kit
A repair kit, including bladder patches and fabric, is included with your wing.
Carry bag
A durable and practical shoulder bag comes with your wing. It’s perfectly designed with a large U-shaped zipper for easy storage, a ventilation grid, comfortable padding, compression straps, and straps for the pump (not provided).

We can handle it for you in our workshop. Our team of specialists is available to diagnose and fix any problems.
We keep the necessary spare parts in stock, including fabric. Just place an order online, or ask your preferred repair shop to do so.
If the part is unfortunately out of stock, we will order it and get it to you as quickly as possible.
Delivery
Delivery delay
We indicate a preparation and shipping time of 3 working days. In reality, the majority of orders are shipped within 24/48 hours.
The delivery time, i.e. delivery time of the package to your home, then depends on the delivery location and the carrier.
We work with reliable and efficient carriers. 99% of shipments go perfectly and quickly. In the case of the remaining 1%, rest assured that we will do what is necessary with the carrier.
Shipping fees
Unlike other sites, shipping costs are not hidden behind the price of our products. You know exactly what shipping costs you, and you are not disadvantaged if you choose to collect your order at our GONG Space Center.
Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address.
Tracking your package
Delivery tracking is managed directly by the carriers to whom we have entrusted your packages. They will contact you by email or SMS to allow you to choose delivery methods and follow the route of your package.
Carriers
We work with the best transport societies to deliver to you throughout Europe and the world within very short deadlines. We chose them for their quality of service and their compliance with deadlines.
For mainland France, 80% of your orders arrive at their destination in less than 48 hours of processing.
For Europe, delivery times vary from 3 to 6 working days, depending on the country of destination.
For the rest of the world, delivery times depend on transit time and customs clearance time. This delay depends on customs and can last from a few days to a few weeks depending on the destination and seasonality.
Please note, transport time is added to preparation/shipping time. Two companies collaborate on your order (GONG and the carrier). Each one masters its activity and is committed to optimizing its deadlines so that you are delivered as quickly as possible and at a reasonable price.
