SUP Soul FSP Pro

Program
Hold the most incredible nose rides and surf with a natural style on a board that’s great in a whole lot of conditions.
Presentation
Paddling is very fast and the volume is ideal for this program. The Soul is sharp as a blade so much so that people confuse it with a longboard at first glance.
In surfing, you’re taking off on nothing, or almost nothing, and really from a distance. The speed is immediate and drags you irresistibly towards the nose of the board. Even with very little power in the wave, you can stick long nose rides without having to step back. And as soon as you’re at the nose, it accelerates.
More size! No worries, the Soul will handle it. It's a great board in tiny waves that go pretty fast, but it's still lively and manageable as soon as it gets in the shoulder high range.
Its wide nose is dedicated to your craziest hang ten. It fits in the section and allows you to stick them without having to step back. The spoon and the 50/50 rails are of a valuable help to avoid skidding at the nose and keep a clean and precise ride.
Its tail is wide enough to be held in the wave when you are at the nose, acting underwater as a submarine, further increasing nose lift. And in the curves this tail allows for fabulous stalls. At high speeds, the outline is quite outstretched with this wide square tail, which gives the Soul great directional stability. The board enters the curve without slipping or bouncing. It’s delectable.
This noserider will make you live great flying carpet moments. Queen of the stylish cut back, because you can push hard out of its axis. This board flows like a rocket on the trim line thanks to its remarkably thin rails and its heavy rocker that places the board automatically high on the wave.
A must for those who only dream of perfect nose rides.
In a nutshell
- Rocker: constant with a slight acceleration at the tail. The board offers an amazing natural speed.
- Rails: 50/50 retro rails to optimize glide at low speed and smoothness in curves.
- Volume: just the right amount. Paddling is carefree and below 90 kg you’re very comfy.
- Outline: moderate width for greater natural speed with a classic cut at the tail for the best cutbacks of your life. Nose 100% noserider to camp there for hours.
- Deck: a perfectly progressive and soft dome-shape.
- Bottom: spoon to V to big V.
- Tail: big retro square to go off-center in curves and hold the board in noses. A tail of formidable efficiency.
- Nose: round nose focused on lift and drive in the face of the wave.
Nose
The nose of the Soul is a platform for all noseridesque attitudes! It’s reached fast and easily, it’s comfortable, so we stay there! This is the pure joy of a classic noserider. Its lines stretched out to the nose allow you to recover a lot of drive in hang tens for example since the grip of the nose automatically raises the board in the face of the wave.
The centered wide-point gives priority to maneuverability. But it is supported by important OFOs which stabilize the board in complex situations. The board does not bounce at high speed and does not stall from the nose.
Tail
The square tail brings lift. It also lengthens the outline line to form an edge that will be cleverly used in stalls to pivot short. This lengthening of the rear rail lines stabilizes at high speed and in the hollow sections.
Rocker
This pure longboard rocker is relatively pronounced for a classic longboard but brings a smoothness. It wraps turns, accelerates, without being abrupt. You can feel the board glide in all situations until you decide to stall it hard!
Carène
The hull is particularly worked, in connection with all the other parameters.
- A nice spoon on the nose to carry, lighten and stabilize.
- The lightweight belly-V in the center of the board gives lots of paddling speed and rail to rail in turns.
- The very marked V in front of the central fin releases the water flat and gives a decisive rail to rail under your inputs.
- Finally, the tail ends in a pronounced V to assert the rail to rail and free the board in the curves.
The rails are 50/50, therefore totally erased. The Soul is a board that must slide before gliding to perform in small waves. These rails do not draw any water at all. They let the board glide freely. The absence of a ridge specific to 50/50 rails does not force the board to set a line into certain angles. The board can roll from side to side to quickly place the hull into the chosen curve. It’s a different kind of ride than the one on a hard rail.
The volume is carefully distributed with a dominant part just in front of the paddling feet to keep a fine tail and distribute the liters exactly where you need them. No worries about the thickness of the rails at this point as the domed deck plan erases the volume near the rails on this wide board.

Buying guide
For whom?
You clearly have to be passionate about longboarding to love the Soul. But its shape is versatile, so everyone will appreciate its qualities. You don’t have to be a skilled longboarder to have fun with the Soul. You just need to be into this kind of glide, not necessarily be a world champion.
It's just a board that could suit a beginner as long as he’s really into longboarding style.
The lighter riders will make it their board for small waves.
The bigger ones will give it a central position in their noseriders quiver.
What is it for?
Longboards love long waves. They often need room to express themselves. This is the case with the Soul, which will love long waves to display its lift, but it will also allow for nice turns in short waves.
What size?
No choice, but 9'4 is an ideal size to combine enough inertia and glide for long noserides and a handling close to the one of a modern board.
What boardbag?
Quiver partners?
A purist of retro nose rides will associate it with a Neverstick and a 12'0.
A lover of elegant but lively longboards will complete it with a Zero.
In a larger quiver, you will add these two previous configurations to a ShortSUP or two: Karmen and Alley for example for long wave spots. Or Mob for lovers of compact shapes who have to deal with shifty peaks.
As a complement in a surfer’s quiver? Yes, because it is accessible without being a pontoon. It stays alive underfoot and will make the most of the little summer sessions, while being pleasant on a cool ride.
Which fin set-up?
Pure single fin, the Soul is going to like the US Fins with a very large surface. Its wide nose will easily make a thin fin spin out, even if it’s long, making it useless and unpleasant to use.
With the Soul we want to count on a clear and safe grip.
This powerful board also needs a serious fin to propel and guide it. Don’t take less than 10″.
Finally, don’t neglect the lead surface and the rake. The bigger they are, the more maneuverable the Soul will be. The big surface at the head will make the fin move as soon as it passes the vertical in a curve. This tendency to want to get the head out of the water will boost your cornering and therefore your curves. Take advantage of this to add style by exaggerating things.
Middle of the box is top, very advanced to turn "short" (rather useless), and at the back for the drive to the nose and accentuate your stalls. In theory, you will have chosen a very fat fin with a base that will take almost all the box and will make this question obsolete.
What length of paddle?
Between your height and your height + 5cm. Ideally + 5cm for style, so as not to be face down on the board but rather arched and aesthetic.
Which leash?
We would love to surf it without a Leash, free as a bird. But it’s really dangerous for others.
So, take a leash the length of your board, that is to say a 9'0 which will be enough. With waves, smaller than a shoulder size, a reduced diameter (6mm) will make you gain a lot of speed. Above that, you must have 7mm minimum.
Check its condition before each session and change it every year. This is your lifejacket.
Equipments
The Soul FSP Pro is equipped with our premium 5mm thick 3D Function pad for maximum grip and comfort. This non-slip deck coating is "smart" as it provides different sensations in different parts of the deck, with grooves and openings designed for proprioception. Your feet are better positioned and informed of their exact positioning to give you a more precise surf.
An ergonomic carrying handle on the deck makes it easy to handle the board out of the water. It also allows you to get the board out of the water with only one hand, which is handy!
In addition, we set these boards up with an adjustable US box. It is simply the highest standard of fin box on the market. You can therefore set up your board with a fin according to your desires and your surfing style by accessing an almost endless catalog of top-of-the-range fins.
The pressure relief screw is automatic. It is made up of a waterproof membrane that allows air to pass through. It will handle the common variations in pressure between the outside and the inside of your board. The durability gain is considerable, without you having to worry about it.
The leash plug is indestructible as it is glued into the high density PVC sandwich of the deck. The guarantee of not losing your board in the rocks for example, nor of seeing water seep through the plug because the PVC is waterproof.
