SUP Neverstick 9'8 FSP Pro

Program
Make the most incredible nose rides and express your style without any restraint with an exceptional board: simply the first SUP retro noserider in history, in constant evolution since 2008.
Presentation
Over the years, its shape has been meticulously refined to obtain this ultimate board for noseride enthusiasts.
When paddling, it is super stable. A super easy and chill board with its large surface on each end.
As soon as you drop you enter its world: almost limitless nose rides. We think that it’s about to pearl: and no !!! The square nose allows the front outline lines to be stretched out. As a result, we can drive the board from a hang ten position; so a real management of the trajectories from the nose. You automatically stay high in the wave, where it glides, because the wide nose hooks its rail all the way into the face of the wave and notches upwards. We don't have that unpleasant feeling of going back down into the wave as soon as we move forward on the nose. Precision and efficiency.
A few crossed steps towards the tail and the kick tail doubled by wingers allows you to go for stylish cut backs. You can stall on demand and it immediately accelerates as soon as you lay it flat. It's that same kick tail that pulls the board up into the wave when you noseride. It acts a bit like the rear wing of a Formula One car. It sticks the tail on the water to increase the tilting point that goes up the nose. And it slows the board gently down so as not to go over the shoulder too quickly and pearling by lacking of power or forcing endless cut backs.
A different feeling. Those who have one never let it go. And those who don't like it will probably never like it. Ultimate.
The craziest retro SUP longboard.
In a nutshell
- Rocker: constant and low without being excessive. The board offers a very smooth steering.
- Rails: 100% retro for a lot of glide at low speed and in small waves.
- Volume: it’s quite thin, but there is some. Easy enough to paddle in spite of it.
- Outline: thin to slide quickly and a large width at the tips to hold infinite noses.
- Deck: smooth dome.
- Bottom: flat to V to V belly.
- Tail: Wide square + wingers for a good lift and stalls.
- Nose: square nose, also to have a good lift.
Rocker
The nose of the Neverstick is a platform for all noseridesque attitudes! It’s reached fast and easily, it’s comfortable, so we stay there! This is the pure joy of a classic noserider. Its lines stretched out to the nose allow you to recover a lot of drive in hang tens for example since the grip of the nose automatically raises the board in the face of the wave.
The rocker has been reviewed this year to have a more constant and more pronounced line on the front, which gives a lot of versatility on the required level and on the ideal waves for this shape.
Spoon
The spoon, which is very rectangular at the back, increases stability in the central position and reduces flow disturbances compared to previous versions of the sharper spoons. The important V at the back offers an easy rail to rail. The tail gains in control and speed. We are clearly in the "stall and nose": we glide, we brake and we go for long nooooses. The centered wide point gives priority to maneuverability and natural speed in small waves. It is supported by very important OFOs which stabilize the board while waiting and paddling.
Tail
The square tail brings lift. It also lengthens the outline line to form a edge that will be cleverly used in stalls to pivot short.
Hull
The hull is particularly worked, in connection with all the other parameters.
- A nice spoon on the nose to carry, lighten and stabilize.
- The lightweight belly-V in the center of the board gives lots of paddling speed and rail to rail in turns.
- The very marked V in front of the central fin releases the water flat and gives a decisive rail to rail under your inputs.
- Finally, the tail ends in a pronounced V to assert the rail to rail and free the board in the curves.
The rails are 60/40 at the tail and 50/50 at the nose, therefore totally erased. The Neverstick is a board that must slide before gliding to perform in small waves. These rails do not draw any water at all. They let the board glide freely. The absence of a ridge specific to 50/50 rails does not force the board to set a line into certain angles. The board can roll from side to side to quickly place the hull into the chosen curve. It's a different kind of ride than the one on a hard rail.
The volume is carefully distributed with a dominant part just in front of the paddling feet to keep a fine tail and distribute the liters exactly where you need them. No worries about the thickness of the rails at this point as the domed deck plan erases the volume near the rails on this wide board.

Buying guide
For whom?
For pure and chill longboard addicts.
Do you like crossed steps, hang tens and chill attitudes? The Neverstick does this better than any other longboard.
Don't ask it to do vertical top turns, speed pumps to pick up speed or huge carves: It’s the opposite of that. So if you too want to enjoy a board that glides from one end of the wave to the other, this is the board for you.
The light ones will surely prefer a board with a less powerful nose.
The bigger riders will use it as a base in their quiver for small waves.
For what?
Longboards love long waves. They often need room to express themselves. This is the case with the Neverstick, which will love long waves to display its lift, but it will also allow for nice turns in short waves.
Its extreme lift, even for a longboard, allows it to take advantage of all small swells.
This is the ultimate summer board, one for slow or even sluggish swells. The board to go out when all the others are boring or lacking in style.
What size?
No choice, but 9'8 is a minimum size to have enough inertia and glide for long nose rides.
What boardbard ?
Quiver partners?
The Neverstick is ideal for the low end of a quiver with a small NFA or Zero above, plus "a few" shortSUPs for hollow waves like the Karmen of course.
It will also be perfect as a direct complement to a shortSUP like the Karmen which will take over as soon as the waves get a little stronger. You would then ideally slip a Mob in between those two to have a board made for picking up speed.
On the other hand, it would overlap the program of an NFA of its size, even if the latter will be more modern in its drive (360 ° and Co). The 12’0 are clearly an overlap, but with an amplitude that makes their surfing very different.
As a complement in a surfing quiver? Why not, but it's a really a hardcore SUP among SUPs. It takes a good paddler to surf it well, all in delicacy. Not very compatible with a versatile vision of SUP in extra small conditions.
Which fin set-up?
Pure single fin, the Neverstick is going to like the US Fins with a very large surface. Its wide nose will easily make a thin fin spin out, even if it’s long, making it unpleasant to use.
With the Neverstick we want to count on a clear and safe grip.
This powerful board also needs a serious fin to propel and guide it. Don’t take less than 10″.
Finally, don’t neglect the lead surface and the rake. The bigger they are, the more maneuverable the Neverstick will be. The big surface at the head will make the fin move as soon as it passes the vertical in a curve. This tendency to want to get the head out of the water will boost your cornering and therefore your curves. Take advantage of this to add style by exaggerating things.
Middle of the box is top, very advanced to turn "short" (rather useless), and at the back for the drive to the nose and accentuate your stalls. In theory, you will have chosen a very fat fin with a base that will take almost all the box and will make this question obsolete.
What length of paddle?
Between your height and your height + 5cm. Ideally + 5cm for style, so as not to be face down on the board but rather arched and aesthetic.
Which leash?
We would love to surf it without a Leash, free as a bird. But it’s really dangerous for others. So, take a leash the length of your board, that is to say a 10'0 which will be enough. With waves, smaller than a shoulder size, a reduced diameter (6mm) will make you gain a lot of speed. Above that, you must have 7mm minimum. Check its condition before each session and change it every year. This is your lifejacket.
Equipments
The Neverstick FSP Pro is equipped with our premium 5mm thick 3D Function pad for maximum grip and comfort. This non-slip deck coating is "smart" as it provides different sensations in different parts of the deck, with grooves and openings designed for proprioception. Your feet are better positioned and informed of their exact positioning to give you a more precise surf.
An ergonomic carrying handle on the deck makes it easy to handle the board out of the water. It also allows you to get the board out of the water with only one hand, which is handy!
In addition, we set these boards up with an adjustable US box. It is simply the highest standard of fin box on the market. You can therefore set up your board with a fin according to your desires and your surfing style by accessing an almost endless catalog of top-of-the-range fins.
The pressure relief screw is automatic. It is made up of a waterproof membrane that allows air to pass through. It will handle the common variations in pressure between the outside and the inside of your board. The durability gain is considerable, without you having to worry about it.
The leash plug is indestructible as it is glued into the high density PVC sandwich of the deck. The guarantee of not losing your board in the rocks for example, nor of seeing water seep through the plug because the PVC is waterproof.
