NEWS: 2023 PULSE AND SUPERPOWER WITH BOOM !

Discover a new feeling and a new range of performance with the Pulse and SuperPower equipped with a boom! An evolution towards more firmness and power for wings whose freerace and lightwind programs take advantage of the optimal profile hold and the direct feeling provided by the GONG boom.

We have been innovating and testing all types of handles since the launch of our very first range of wings. So far soft handles have been chosen for every production because they are simple, light, efficient and durable. We have no problem proposing an alternative, but only if it demonstrates as many assets. This is what happened with the boom adopted for the Pulse and the SuperPower for which the benefits have met the high standard set by our developers and team riders. Wing foiling is progressing and the demand for firmness in racing now prevails over practicality in transport. So we designed an incredibly smart and efficient boom.

The performance gain in the specific Pulse and SP programs is stunning, as is the feeling in the hands. To date, for wave riding and freestyle programs, the strengths of soft handles remain dominant for the general public, but it’s now close call 😉 And it seems to be in favor of rigid handles for pros hungry for power and performance.

A new blade with the Pulse !

This new edition of the Pulse comes in a shape developing unprecedented performance in wing foiling. More slender, with completely revised aerodynamics, the Pulse makes no compromises. And for good reason ! Its program is to go full blast on all angles: a real racing machine.

The boom is not just another form of handle: it is an element of performance! This element takes up a very large part of the bending forces exerted on the central batten: the wing is more rigid, and the trailing edge retains its tension and opens less. It is therefore possible to reduce the diameter on a large part of the central batten to save weight and drag, while maintaining the rigidity and precision of the wing.

The prepreg carbon boom offers a direct link with the wing for precision steering thanks to optimal profile hold. Even at high speed or overpowered, the wing remains locked and healthy. With its oval section, it offers better grip for less fatigue and maximum comfort. The ovalization also offers more rigidity while allowing the diameter to be reduced. Our boom is covered with a textured molded grip which further improves its grip and reduces effort. It’s velvet…

The boom attachment system is practical, efficient and durable. It is fixed with the same key used for the foil and doesn’t have to be dismantled thanks to the custom-made carrying bag in which you can store it like a windsurf sail.

A boom wing that takes almost no weight, that does not deform and that does not drag air, it’s magic.

The Superpower doubles down on its pledge!

The SuperPower, world best seller of the light wind program, comes in this new edition with a 100% prepreg carbon boom for both handling finesse and a big boost in power and control.

To have fun in light wind conditions you want above all power, but also maneuverability and lightness. The goal is to fly, sure, if possible easily, but also to go fast and head upwind.

This new version of the Superpower doubles down on its pledge:

• More power thanks to the improvement of airflow on the most crucial part of its shape located around the “wasp waist” batten that the GONG boom allows.
• Stunning maneuverability for its size, due to its minimal wingspan, and the precision conferred by its excellent profile hold. The steering precision goes next level with the boom to exploit the slightest breath of air in the light.
• Our prepreg carbon boom applied in 4 directions for minimum weight and maximum strength/stiffness, it is the most high-end technology on the market to make no concessions between stiffness, weight and performance.

New harness line

Our boom wings can be used with or without a harness, but if you want to make the most of the conditions or be in autopilot mode from time to time, we offer a harness line developed specifically for these wings. Simple to put on, the GONG harness line is designed to allow ultra-fast hooking and unhooking. It does not move, twist or blow away in the wind. And unlike a windsurfing harness line, it is symmetrical. The harness lines in windsurfing only bend down one way. In wing foiling the way down is the way up on the next tack so you need a harness line that goes down whatever tack you’re on 😉
