HOW TO: PREPARE YOUR HIPE FIRST PACK!

Spend minimal time on land and maximum flying over the spot with the HIPE First Pack!

The complete pack that you just have to put in a backpack and go to the beach with. Just add a wetsuit and a poncho in the backpack and you have all the essential equipment for a wing foiling session. Let’s see how to prepare it quickly and correctly before hitting the water.

Note that the equipment included in the HIPE First Pack is designed in noble materials which guarantee its durability and efficiency on the water. The assembly of these different elements must be done according to the rules of the art as defined in the instructions of the user guide that accompany it. There are no two ways about it, as with all high-tech gear, you have to start by reading the instructions ;), even if you already have a solid experience in board sports.

If you are new to wing foiling, several elements of the assembly are probably totally new to you. In the user guide we explain:

How to correctly inflate your HIPE First with the supplied pump, the use of the non-return valve, the precautions for use and how to fold your board after your session.
How to mount the elements of your foil*, in particular the new SCS fixation system which allows you to assemble the foil to the board in record time.

When your gear is mounted, secure it on the beach as explained in this How To. You therefore need to attach your wrist leash to the Wing beforehand. The ankle leash that is provided so as not to lose the board must be fixed in accordance with the instructions in this How To.

Take your time during your first session to prepare your equipment, or do first practice in your garden if possible. After a couple of sessions, preparing your equipment will only take a handful of minutes, barely more, or even less, than the time needed to jump into your wetsuit.

*Regarding your foil, it is important to note that if you wish to leave it mounted in one piece between two sessions, you must absolutely prevent galvanic corrosion by using a protective gel. Without this precaution, two metal alloys of different potential, in the case of your foil, it is the aluminum of the plate/mast/fuselage assembly and the steel of the screws, cause corrosion in the presence of humidity. Galvanic corrosion can jam the screws so this precaution is to be renewed once or twice a month.
