Directement inspirée des Lethal Surf, notre shape dédié aux vagues les plus puissantes, la Lethal Surf Foil est sans limite. De nombreux protos nous ont conduits à ce shape si particulier en rounded point nose qui conserve la portance utile et supprime les inerties. La nouvelle répartition du volume rend la planche encore plus homogène et stable notamment à la rame, effet renforcé par le double concave avant optimisé qui apporte plus de douceur.

On voit clairement que la réduction de la largeur est l’axe majeur de cette planche de pros. Moins de largeur signifie plus de vitesse de rame, moins de collage en cas de touchette, et plus de contrôle dans les angles extrêmes.

Le tail a été retravaillé sur la base du tail magic de la Lethal Wing pour fluidifier les sorties d’eau à la rame et renforcer l’effet bouchon pour poper plus franchement au take off.

Le plan de pont beaucoup plus ergonomique priorise le retour d’information. Il est plat jusqu’à la pointe du pied arrière pour des sensations pures et directes. On ride avec des appuis confiants et puissants.

La 4’4 fait 32L, ce qui permet à ceux qui ont un niveau technique élevé d’avoir un maximum de performances. La 4’4 est également idéale pour les petits gabarits.
La 4’8 pour 38L est idéale pour les bons foileurs qui cherchent à combiner confort et performance tout en ayant une rame facile.
Les plus grandes planches, la 5’1 en 48L et la 5’4 en 54L, sont parfaites pour les gabarits plus costauds grâce à leurs volumes généreux. Ce volume booste la vitesse de rame, indispensable sur des spots où on ne remonte pas tout en pompant.

Equipements

The Lethal EPS Surf Foiling boards are equipped with a front pad and a high-end Square 5mm thick tail pad that provide maximum grip and comfort in the surf, while protecting the board from shocks in sketchy take offs for instance. These boards are fitted with two US boxes with 9cm center distance (the standard box for foil plates on the market). You can therefore mount all the foil plates in the world according to your desires and your style. And with the leash plug on the back of the board to secure your leash, nothing is missing.

Finally if by bad luck you damage your board, it will be easily repairable because it was well built. GLOBAL

Rocker: fairly flat on the tail where a thick kick will avoid touchdowns in choppy conditions and while pumping.
Hull: flat on the tail and double concave at the nose.
Rails: faceted to avoid sticking to the water when linking tight curves.
Volume: important for its size to have a load-bearing board.
Outline: narrow and compact, thin in the center to be radical and boosting the take off.
Tail: round tail for maximum maneuverability.
Nose: point nose.

A narrow board, with a thick tail, the absolute recipe for taking off immediately.

The deck plan has been redesigned to offer more control over this narrow board. With the introduction of a near winger on the top rail, L’Ours shaped a perfectly flat deck in the back third, right down to the rail. Thus the toes act on the same level as the other supports of the foot. This spreads out and interacts with a homogeneous and therefore simple deck to pilot from. The shape of this deck is inherent to the narrowness of the Lethal but offers a real paradigm shift in the drive.

Its very pronounced kick tail has been reworked with a bowed infill to obtain cleaner exits of water flow when paddling and abetter corck effect on the take off. On touchdowns with the tail, this hydrodynamic shape touches a little earlier but avoids the suction phenomenon of the bevelled tail, which would be the end for relaunching.

The facets on the rails allow you to fly serenely without being afraid of a big brake application at the slightest touch on a chop or in tight curves.

The volume distribution has been revised to make the board more homogeneous and stable when paddling.

The new hull shape with an optimized double concave nose dampens the touchdowns by dissipating energy and guiding the board in the axis before takeoff. The Lethal 2022 is smooth and stiff.

The rocker is low but accentuated by the work of the hull. The latter lightens the board in complex phases.

EPS Technology

3D shape on modeling software.

Epoxy resin and EPS foam blank: solid and lightweight.
Epoxy / fiberglass lamination on polystyrene foam blank 28kg / m³ with 3 stringers (central wood stringer and 2 lateral 3mm).
Deck detail: 2 layers of 6oz fiberglass
Hull detail: 1 layer of 6oz fiberglass, with 5 6oz fiberglass reinforcement patches and 1 6oz carbon patch around the
US rails to avoid breakage in front of the foil attachment during stalls.
PVC reinforcement 70kg / m3 with a thickness of 3.5 cm integrating the 2 US rails.
Resin tinted hot coat : nobility of the process, weight saving and solidity of the finish.
Hand-made matt “custom finish” for weight saving and a better glide.
This technology is easily repairable as new in the event of dings or accidents, and has an excellent lightness / nervousness ratio highlighting all the technical qualities of the shape.
It is THE modern technology currently popular with the most technical foilers looking for lightness and responsiveness.
These boards are 100% shaped and glassed in China in the most experienced factory in the manufacture of surfboards.

Buying guide

For Whom?

From the confirmed to the Pro, the Lethal is a very high level board.

Whether you’re a lightweight or of a strong build, the Lethal range offers all sizes.

What is it for?

Fast in paddling and very lively, it’s a board to go for the highest performance. You have to surf it with a real commitment, even strapped.

A foil works in a lot of conditions, so it’s not discriminating. However, the key is to know if you want to rip or not, ‘cause clearly this board is not meant to beat around the bush ;).

What size?

The 4’0 is ultimate: light or top level only.
The 4’4 is crazy: light or with a good level because paddling on a 4’4 is selective
The 4’8 is super high performance with a volume that is classic in the surfing world.
The 5’1 is also high performance, but with comfort.
The 5’4 is super high performance but comfortable for the bigger surfers.

In all cases, they are very compact AND narrow shapes: maximum radicality.

How to choose the size of the board bag for my Surf Foil Board Lethal?

Understanding the GONG range?

We can very simply summarize the concepts of each board in our range:

HIPE: the inflatable with 95% of the stiffness. Ideal for beginners and much more!
Lance: the easy surf foiling board that’s comfortable to paddle.
Matata: maximum compactness for an unmatched reactivity.
Lethal: speed, control and total radicality for the pros.

What is the ideal foil?

The Lethal is great with our Allvator carbon foils.

Ideally you will turn to the high performance foil that matches your style, your weight, etc … info that we describe for each foil.

Quiver partners?

If you’re into surf foiling you’ll be into classic surfing when the waves are good and hollow. You will have a wide range of choice in our range to complete your quiver.

Surf foiling tends to eat up the usual SUP program because it enjoys the same waves. It’s not easy to marry the two but having diversity in a quiver is always a plus. Surf foiling is typically perfect in the conditions of an NFA for example.

We will often complement a surf foiling board with a wing because it is the ideal combination when the wind is rising. The wing is really the ski lift for a surf foiler. It’s a completely natural extension of it.

Which settings?

A beginner will pull the foil all the way back.

And an expert will place his foil in the center of the boxes.

Which leash?

A short leash, a 5′ of 6 mm is sufficient in small waves. A 6′of 7mm will be much safer as soon as it gets bigger. It’s your lifejacket, you have to use it to protect yourself and others. It is imperative to renew it every year because it wears out.

A 5 mm grooved deck pad for absolute grip and comfort, incorporating a tail pad with kicker for perfect strapless rear foot positioning. Deck pad and tail pad glued during manufacture, in the factory.

Delivery

Delivery delay

We indicate a preparation and shipping time of 3 working days. In reality, the majority of orders are shipped within 24/48 hours.

The delivery time, i.e. delivery time of the package to your home, then depends on the delivery location and the carrier.

We work with reliable and efficient carriers. 99% of shipments go perfectly and quickly. In the case of the remaining 1%, rest assured that we will do what is necessary with the carrier.

Shipping fees

Unlike other sites, shipping costs are not hidden behind the price of our products. You know exactly what shipping costs you, and you are not disadvantaged if you choose to collect your order at our GONG Space Center.

Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight and volume of each package, and your delivery address.

Tracking your package

Delivery tracking is managed directly by the carriers to whom we have entrusted your packages. They will contact you by email or SMS to allow you to choose delivery methods and follow the route of your package.

Carriers

We work with the best transport societies to deliver to you throughout Europe and the world within very short deadlines. We chose them for their quality of service and their compliance with deadlines.

For mainland France, 80% of your orders arrive at their destination in less than 48 hours of processing.

For Europe, delivery times vary from 3 to 6 working days, depending on the country of destination.

For the rest of the world, delivery times depend on transit time and customs clearance time. This delay depends on customs and can last from a few days to a few weeks depending on the destination and seasonality.

Please note, transport time is added to preparation/shipping time. Two companies collaborate on your order (GONG and the carrier). Each one masters its activity and is committed to optimizing its deadlines so that you are delivered as quickly as possible and at a reasonable price.

Eco-responsible packaging

Preserving the environment is an absolute priority. This is why we do everything possible to reduce our ecological footprint.

The most important thing is to sell quality, durable products that will be repairable and will please you for a long time.

For our shipments, we use:

Scotch craft paper.

Final packaging in high-end cardboard.

For rigid boards: Flexi-Hex, very high resistance ecological packaging.

This means:

Reusable and recyclable packaging.

An almost total reduction in single-use plastic.

Maximum protection and impact resistance for rigid boards thanks to the innovative Flexi-Hex honeycomb design (35mm thick).

Receipt of your product

Upon delivery, check the condition of your package in the presence of the carrier. A complete explanation email on the procedure to follow will be sent to you when your order is shipped.

Despite our requirements and all the care we take in the packaging and protection of your product, transport hazards may occur, and your product may suffer more or less significant transport damage.

Note that the products are protected in their carton. If you have any doubts, simply refuse delivery and contact us.

Warning

When you practice Foil you expose yoursef to possible serious Risks. A poor mastering of a Foil can expose you to Cuts and/or Serious Bodily Harm, even Death for youself and possibley others around you.

Foiling should be practiced, in all circumstances, by taking precautions and taking into cosideration all that is involved and associated with SURF/SUP sports. Remember that a Foil is long and has an edge that could cause slicing and is capable of reaching very high speeds. Getting hit by a Foil, or hitting another, can incrue dramatic and highly unwanted consequences.

Always Foil far from others, and in waters that are secure and without obstacle.

Always wear a helmet and protective vest that assures Floatability. Always wear a full body Neoprane Wetsuit.

When handling and manipulating a Foil be careful not to cut yourself along its edges.
