SUP trip

“Armed with our SUPs, while much of the French flock pounce on the beaches and borrow walking trails to reach the most secret creeks, Lilou and I decided to row and reach them by the sea !
Direction the creeks of Cassis for a SUP bivouac week end.
First we have to leave the car in the parking in the peninsula. Then Sup under the arm, under the amused eyes of the hikers, we attack for 30 minutes a small path in the scrub, which will bring us in the creek of Port Miou for our launching.
We each have a waterproof bag, one contains the valuable camping equipment (tent, bags, mattresses, stove …) and the other our personal items and food, all ensconced in front of our boards with rubber bands.
Wind is well established and in our faces, we are reluctant to leave. We make a little test to the exit of the cove and then we decide to launch us to the adventure : direction En Vau creek !
We runs along the cliffs but at the exit of a curve we face a persistent wind and an unexpected swell ! Tough ! Tough !
It will force us to change course and require us to another cove.
The waves pass over our boards “I hope that our bags are really waterproof !”
A great blows of oars, it is gradually sinking into the creek of Port-Pin.
At the bottom of the cove, we found serenity, the water is clear, fish schools there, the cliffs are crossed by the last rays of the sun. What a beautiful place !
We make camp for the night, we are alone in the middle of this paradise movie set, which is our reality !!!
In the morning, the sun is once again with us. A few oar strokes later, the golden colors of a summer morning welcome us under the cliffs of the cove of En Vau. The show is breathtaking, we sat on our boards, smile on face. Let the adventure is beautiful! Thank you GONG for bringing us so far !”
