GEAR: THE ADS FINS !!!

The Lance, Zuma and HIPE in 6’5 and 7’5 are now equipped with the Anti Drift System or ADS. This is a fin box placed in front of the front foot intended to make your life easier in wing or SUP foil.

In Wingfoil

During the first step on a Wingfoil, the phases of flight during which going upwind is facilitated thanks to the absence of friction on the water, can be rare, or even nonexistent. Therefore, the ground lost on the wind is significant, which may involve a long walk to return to your starting point. The ADS system will greatly limit the drift which will save you a painful return carrying your equipment. Rather than walking, you will spend more time in the water and therefore progress faster. You no longer have the stress of having to fly.

In flight, the ADS fin will not affect your navigation, whether in a straight line or when taking angles in curves. If the wind drops and flying on the foil isn’t possible, ADS is again a great help in maintaining your course. ADS is therefore not just useful for beginners. In addition, the ADS fin erases small errors during pumping to get going.

In SUP foil

The ADS fin helps to effectively reduce the row effect when paddling and especially when taking off. The row effect is very present on these small boards. Results: you easily take more waves, you progress more quickly, you therefore take more pleasure by optimizing each session. The benefits are numerous without affecting the quality of the flight on the foil, therefore it remains an interesting asset even for experienced practitioners.

The icing on the cake, the Anti Drift System is universal, on the Lance and the Zuma the ADS fin clips into a standard FCS II case (these boards are delivered with an FCS II Glass Flex fin). On the HIPE, it is a US-box that accommodates the fin that acts as ADS (a US 4.6 ’thin fin comes with the equipment of the HIPEs 6’5 and 7’5).
