The best glide for freeride, freefly and laid-back wave riding.

Overview

The Mint is a best-seller in our range thanks to its magical glide combined with incredible ease of use.

Everything feels easy on the Mint, and anything is possible. It takes off effortlessly, inspires confidence straight away and still delivers enough performance for a pro to throw highly committed moves with disarming ease.

With its versatile shape that keeps a bit of length and width, but without overdoing it, it strikes the perfect balance between accessibility and top-level performance. Its exceptional glide makes take-offs easier, including in light wind, while its stability at a standstill keeps you relaxed through every phase before take-off.

For 2027, the deck is even more recessed in the pad area to bring your feet closer to the foil. The board is thinner underfoot, the connection feels more direct and control gains even more precision. The new volume distribution at the front and rear preserves all the float that makes the Mint so easy, especially on take-off and during water contact.

Once on foil, its maneuverability and responsiveness still make it a benchmark in freefly, with a smooth, natural feel that lets you focus fully on your glide and your carves.

Compared with the more specialised or more radical models in the range, the Mint remains the easiest high-performance board to get to grips with. It’s an excellent board for progressing, but also one that very good riders love for its versatility and how simply it delivers performance.

Easy, smooth, stable and not physically demanding, the Mint remains that super-cool board you ride a lot, in a huge range of conditions, without ever feeling like you’re making compromises.

Shape
OUTLINE

The Mint retains a very balanced length / width / volume ratio to generate plenty of glide while remaining easy to control. Its length lets it naturally build speed on the water and reduces the effort needed for pumping, while its width provides the stability needed before take-off. The overall result is a smooth, accessible and high-performance board, capable of linking take-off, flight and freefly phases with ease.

ROCKER

The rocker stays fairly flat, especially through the rear third, to promote acceleration and limit energy loss before take-off. The Mint naturally builds towards its flying speed without requiring strenuous pumping. This line also helps maintain speed through touchdowns and makes it easier to get straight back up on foil, with a smooth and predictable feel.

HULL

The hull combines a flat, planing rear section with a double concave in the nose. The flat rear section allows water to release cleanly and helps the board accelerate up to take-off speed. Up front, the double concave channels the flow during water contact and helps the board maintain speed rather than slowing down abruptly. A combination designed to deliver strong glide before take-off while staying forgiving during touchdowns.

TAIL

The round tail keeps enough surface area to support the board and generate glide, while staying compact in carves. Combined with the flat rocker, it lets you regain speed quickly after a touchdown and delivers a very natural repop. For 2027, the volume distributed around the tail increases support under the back foot and ensures a more progressive transition between the stance area and the end of the board.

RAILS

The rails are straight and sharp at the tail to release the water cleanly and maximise drive during take-off phases. This geometry delivers clean, efficient glide. Moving forward towards the nose, the rails gradually become less vertical and softer to gain forgiveness in chop and make water contact far less punishing.

NOSE

The generous point nose keeps plenty of support without creating excessive bulk in flight. For 2027, the maximum bulb volume has been moved closer to the rider to provide extra buoyancy as the board accelerates on the water or when the nose comes under load in chop. Combined with the double concave and soft rails, it makes touchdowns easier and helps the board bounce back naturally into flight.

3D View

Recessed Deck

The recessed deck brings your feet closer to the foil for a stronger connection, greater precision, and more control. This lower position transfers foot pressure more effectively, whether riding strapped or strapless, while leaving enough freedom to adjust your stance.

You feel more secure, closer to your foil, and enjoy a more direct feel through every maneuver.

Image

Volume distributed from nose to tail

The lowered deck is paired with added volume in the nose and tail to maintain support around the rider. The highest-volume section of the nose sits closer to the stance to better support takeoffs, acceleration, and touchdowns.

At the rear, the volume follows the same approach, creating a smooth, continuous shape from nose to tail.

Image

Perf Series graphic signature

The Perf Series range brings together boards designed for easy progression, hassle-free riding, and maximum fun on the water.

The WOOD 2X and FSP 2X constructions share this philosophy right down to their graphics, with vibrant, colorful, instantly recognizable decks: solid colors on the WOOD 2X, brushed finishes on the FSP 2X.

An accessible, fun range that looks every bit as cool as it rides.

Image

Footstrap inserts

The new footstrap inserts improve both adjustability and hold. At the rear, the two-screw mounting system offers 5 positions to fine-tune foot placement while limiting strap rotation under heavy loads. At the front, 3 positions let you adjust your stance, with paired lateral inserts arranged diagonally to strengthen the connection and keep the strap securely in place when pushing hard.

Image

Footstraps Light

The V-shaped Footstraps Light prioritize comfort, simplicity, and freedom of movement. Their layout naturally centers your front foot and makes rail-to-rail transitions easier, while their minimal coverage lets you slide your feet in quickly and naturally.

Comfortable, simple, easy-to-use straps.

Image

Ridge Traction Pad

At 5 mm thick, the Ridge Traction Pad offers an excellent balance of comfort, grip, and precision. Its texture keeps your footing secure, minimizes small slips, and maintains very direct control of the board and foil.

The pad feels firm underfoot to transmit rider input precisely, with enough cushioning to keep you comfortable during long sessions and touchdowns.

Reliable grip, stable footing, and a precise connection to the foil.

Wing Foil Board Mint FSP 2X FSP 2X / 5'0 / ARCTIC

Buying guide

Who is it for?

This is a simple, stable board, to the point where you could almost learn on it, but you still need solid basics to get the most out of it:

  • Either you already have a significant number of hours flying with a wing (say, confident jibes and the start of your tacks).
  • Or you already know how to handle a foil really well (in kite foiling, for example).
  • Or you have a windsurfing background: that helps a lot with handling the wing and staying on your feet.

In any case, even though it is easy, the Mint is performance-oriented, exactly as its programme suggests.

In a high-volume version (your weight +30), it is genuinely very easy to use. But if you choose a volume close to your weight (+10), staying on your knees in chop still will not be effortless. You need to be in good physical shape to stay sharp.

It is clearly the board for anyone who wants to push the wing’s full potential in the waves while keeping plenty of comfort.

But it is also a very good option for lowkite, as its stability will make your setup and take-offs easier.

What for?

The Mint is a pure freeride / freefly / wave riding board, with enough comfort to make life easier and throw tricks without worrying about struggling to get going again.

In short: it is 80% wave riding and 20% freestyle / jumps. So 100% freeride ;-)

It is responsive and playful. It feels amazing to have everything fall perfectly into place. Control at high speed and through carves is fantastic.

Ideal in surf and perfect for jumps, it is 100% high performance.

What board size?

Which foil?

The Mint works perfectly with V3 Atmo foils, which prioritise carving, speed, glide and freefly. The Curve is ideal for its reassuring, easy-handling feel, the Fluid for a more lively ride, and the various Veloce models for pushing glide and speed even further. The Sirus, meanwhile, will maximise low-end range and take-off ease.

The Curve V3 Atmo: the maneuvrability and control combo.
It is the perfect choice for easy carving with a foil that feels balanced and easy to read under your feet. Its lift and forgiveness let you make the most of the Mint’s ease while keeping enough glide and performance to progress a long way.

The Fluid V3 Atmo: the maneuvrability and speed combo.
More lively and more direct, it is perfect for tight turns, accelerating, gliding and adopting a more aggressive riding style. Its dynamic character is a perfect match for a Mint used in surf, committed freeride or freestyle.

The Veloce V3 Atmo: the glide and speed combo.
Its high aspect ratio focuses on efficiency and speed retention. It is an excellent match for fast freeride, freefly and long carves, with a foil that carries efficiently through lulls and naturally extends every glide phase.

The Veloce Free Fly V3 Atmo: glide with freedom.
Designed to keep plenty of speed without becoming too locked-in, it is particularly well suited to freefly, long glides and accessible downwind. An excellent choice for making the most of the Mint’s glide while keeping the foil lively and easy to control.

The Veloce Light Wind V3 Atmo: efficiency in light wind.
It prioritises early take-off, lift and maintaining flight with very little energy. Combined with the Mint’s natural glide, it lets you make the most of marginal conditions while still keeping speed and efficiency once flying.

The Sirus V3 Atmo: the queen of the low end.
Its very high lift combined with its glide lets you take off early and stay flying at low speed. It is the choice for maximising light wind sessions, pumping efficiently and making the most of every bit of available energy.

The Ypra Surf-Freestyle V3 Atmo: the committed surf and freestyle mix.
More radical, it is aimed at riders who want to push the Mint through carves, speed build-up and moves. Its dynamic behaviour prioritises pop, repop, maneuvrability and quick rail-to-rail transitions.

Which stab?

Your choice of stab lets you very clearly tune the character of your Mint. To keep a setup that is simple and immediately coherent, your first choice should be a stab from the same family and the same series as your front wing.

The Curve stab: control and carving.
It brings plenty of support, a settled feel and clear, predictable feedback through carves. It is the natural choice for getting the most out of the Mint in freeride and wave riding, with a foil that feels reassuring, delivers lift at low speed and is easy to build speed with.

The Fluid stab: speed and responsiveness.
More lively and more powerful through the turns, it speeds up rail-to-rail transitions and frees up changes of direction. It is a perfect match for a Mint ridden with a more dynamic style, tight carves, pop and strong acceleration.

The Veloce stab: glide and freefly.
Less powerful than a Fluid, it prioritises speed retention, glide and long lines. It is an excellent option for getting the most out of the Mint in freefly, fast freeride or in bumps, with a foil that feels looser and more energy-efficient.

You can then fine-tune that balance with the stab size. A larger size generally brings more support, stability and backing in slower phases, at the cost of a little extra drag. A smaller size frees up the foil more, improves speed and maneuvrability, but requires more precision and control.

For riders who want to go further with tuning, the Curve, Fluid and Veloce Tail Wings let you keep those same characteristics while choosing wingspan and angle of incidence separately thanks to the Tail Shaft / Shim Tail system. The Medium with Shim Tail 0° is the standard starting point when no different specific setup is recommended.

Frequent questions
Who is the Mint for?

The Mint is aimed at riders looking for an easy, stable and high-performance board to build their skills or put their experience to good use without moving onto a demanding shape. A few hours of flight time, solid jibes or good experience on another foiling craft make an excellent foundation.

What is the Mint designed for?

It’s a freeride, freefly and wave riding board with real potential for sending jumps and tricks. Its DNA remains focused on glide and surf, with around 80% wave riding and 20% freestyle / jumps, with a smooth, versatile feel that isn’t overly demanding.

How do I choose the volume of my Mint?

Volume depends on your weight, your level and the comfort you’re after. At around your weight +30 L, the Mint becomes very accessible and stable. At around your weight +10 L, it feels sportier but requires more balance, especially on your knees in choppy water.

Does the Mint take off easily in light wind?

Yes. Its length, flat rocker and planing hull let it build speed quickly before take-off while keeping pumping effort to a minimum. It makes efficient use of light pull and stays stable enough to set up for take-off with confidence.

Is the Mint suited to wave riding and freefly?

Yes, it’s even one of its main uses. Its glide makes it easier to get into the bumps, while its maneuverability and control make freefly feel very natural. The nose and hull shaping also helps maintain speed through touchdowns.

Can the Mint be used for lowkite?

Yes. Its stability and easy take-off make it easier to get set up and launch in lowkite. It builds the speed needed before take-off with ease while remaining maneuverable and enjoyable to ride once on foil.

Which foil should you pair with the Mint?

A Curve V3 Atmo will favour control and carving, a Fluid V3 Atmo will bring more liveliness and speed, while a Veloce V3 Atmo will push glide and freefly even further. To maximise the low end and lift, a Sirus V3 Atmo will be particularly well suited.

What does the FSP 2X construction bring to the Mint?

The FSP 2X combines a full high-density PVC sandwich with a fiberglass layup and targeted carbon reinforcements. This construction delivers an excellent balance of strength, controlled weight, performance and durability, while remaining repairable using standard composite techniques.
