Its streamlined outline provides greater ease and glide during takeoff phases, as well as improved comfort in case of touch-downs.
With its wide, rounded nose, the Catch offers more surface area under the front foot. Combined with a deep double concave on the hull, this configuration helps manage touchdowns in choppy water, even at steep angles.
The Catch's wide diamond tail allows for immediate planing and reduces touchdowns. The area under the rear foot is narrowed to make any touchdowns both rare and gentle.

The Catch Foil FSP 2X is fabulous with a Strutless to perform in winds below 20 knots. This kite is close to a race kite in its abilities, but with the safety of an inflatable structure. It flies in nothing and holds crazy upwind courses, yet it’s a very maneuverable kite too. Perfect.
But the Catch is also a good match for the Unik which will bring a lot of maneuverability to link manoeuvers for example.

After selecting the front wing that suits you, we recommend choosing the corresponding stabilizer (stab) to get the most out of a setup designed with matching performance goals.
In kite foil, we recommend stabilizers with a very small surface area. It’s absolutely possible to pair a medium-sized front wing (size M) with a small stabilizer (size S).
For beginners, a shorter mast is easier to handle: 70 cm is ideal for the first sessions, then you can gradually move up—or go directly to around 100 cm if you’re feeling confident.
An intermediate mast, such as 85 cm, makes wave riding and freestyle easier, but offers less room for error in maneuvers like tacks or in full-speed choppy conditions.
For racing, high modulus (HM) masts of 100, 107 and 112 cm will be perfect.
The Catch Foil FSP 2X has been tested from 4 knots to over 60 knots of wind with success. Suffice to say that it has no limit. But the optimum foil program is 6kts to 25kts for most people.
The obvious choice is to complete it with a kite surfboard for the wind range over 20 knots.
The wide range of possible adjustment for the footstraps inserts and the foil in the US GONG box (with double entry rails to fit our SCS system) make it possible to perfectly set the board for beginners. By adjusting the settings they can ride very forward of the foil which makes the board calmer and more predictable on take offs. You can then gradually bring these two points closer together (foiler support, and center of thrust of the foil) to achieve the perfect flight balance and perform once you have reached the sufficient technical level.
A beginner will move the footstraps all the way forward and set the foil all the way back.
And a pro will set the back strap fully back and the front strap in the middle. While his foil will be between the center and the back third of the boxes.
Riding strapless is sexy because you feel free. But quite honestly, performances will be lower.
So it’s up to you to see if the feeling prevails over the performances.
With straps you will have a lot more control and a lot less risk of hitting the foil that flips under your feet. You can recover from crazy situations just by pulling on the feet. You can go faster, jump and push for tricks.
Put your straps in the central position (3rd hole) for the fronts, and the same goes for the rear strap if you are always riding in the straps.
If you want to be able to remove the back foot for pumping, place the rear strap at the first or second hole.
